I thought the game was really well umpired too. Can't think of many howlers and they were spot on with paying and not paying marks. Surprised with the free kick count.

Yep fair enough. Willing to give him more games to find his feet of course, did not know about the 6 tackles either that Dazzle mentioned earlier. It is easy to forget that he's missed a lot of footy. Hopefully once he gets that match fitness up we'll see some more sparks.

8.10.58 from turnover with 56 points coming from turnover at wing, centre or defensive 50. Obviously could have been a lot more too. It's not always pretty at the moment but it is a sign that the new style is bearing fruit. 70% of the scoring in this game was from turnover and most games are like this currently. Binman says it every week, it's the name of the game right now. The inaccuracy also wasn't quite as bad as it seemed either. Most gettable set shots were nailed and at least 6 misses on pretty tight angles or beyond 50. Would have liked a few more goals obviously but no-where near the worst accuracy performance this year.

Hit us with those sweet, sweet stats guys!

I'll be there too if tickets aren't impossible to get. Been way too long since this sport graced our shores.

Great call, hardly ever had a straight line to run with ball in hand. Always had pressure on him or blocked his running lanes. Our defensive setup was so much better than last week.

Appreciate all the nods to ANB, you're all a lot better than the media.

Some credit probably should go to our former list manager Barry Prendergast, quick shoutout.

Something weird is happening in that post quote because I didn't say that. Could be an interweb glitch. And further to that I'm more along the lines of your thinking. I'm getting tired of hearing that Petty's leads are being unrewarded, welcome to the life of being a key forward, sometimes you make 7 or 8 leads a game that don't amount to anything. It might have washed for one game but we've been hearing this about his game for weeks now. The guy is hardly a decoy forward, he was running hot late last year and for people to constantly call out out our midfield for ignoring his leads isn't right.

One thing for sure is there will be a time when we need something different. All comes down to how much we can get out of Petty.

We'll find a way

Get a hearse for the curse

Still a Sandy fan to be honest but obviously it would have been nice for the Casey boys to get up.

Credit really does have to go to the coaching for all these.

You wouldn't eat a banana that is still green would you?

Think we're playing Walyalup. Edit: No we're not

Coaching and talent on the park is all you need to know. Principles of the pipeline or whatever is just rhetoric. If you thinking coaching doesn't matter then you're out of your damn mind.

After arguably his best game today as a back I do find the timing on this question a bit strange Deevo but I'm all for lateral thinking. Personally I don't see it happening, the void has always been there and if they haven't tried him there before there has to be a reason for it.

Not bad considering some of the garbology being spoken about him pre game.
-
Yep. No point expecting perfect performances, decent win over a finals team.

I mean this game against the Saints has led us in perfectly for Freo. Know when to go fast and when to be patient with the ball once they setup behind it.
-
Maybe Jack Sinclair but that's about it.

Hunter was disappointing

Much better intensity from the get-go this week, despite a few off periods. Do we sometimes need to be more patient as footy fans? A lot of people around me were going bonkers with the slower ball movement but St Kilda had setup their defensive structure very well and us going fast would almost certainly have meant turning it over in vulnerable areas of the ground. I thought this was a steady approach to chip around and patiently wait for an opening, low and behold when we finally broke through the floodgates then opened. Are we the fans too harsh markers?

Really hope McAdam is better after a few games. These efforts have been sub par
