  1. What a garbage attack that debate was. Everyone has gone crazy about Biden telling Trump to shut up but the most personal remark for me was Trump's "There's nothing smart about you Joe". To Biden's credit he'd prepared very well and looked down the barrel to address the American people, Trump stuffed it up a bit by interrupting all the time. He probably would have gotten a lot further letting Biden talk and eventually tripping up.

    Seahawks, Ravens, Bills
  3. If he came cheap then fair enough, I'm not totally convinced he can be the guy some people here are suggesting but out of the older heads it wouldn't be the worst get. I also wouldn't be targeting Smith if it was purely for experience, surely that role can be covered by hanging onto Jones, yeah ok totally different player and elite runner but not totally sold yet.
  4. Honestly I'd take a late 3rd rounder for him right now. Runs more than the boundary umpire and although not a brilliant kick not a shocking one but just doesn't get it enough.
  5. I'd keep him on over ANB.
  6. Wow what's with these retirements lately?
  7. Well we knew this was coming, cue the guy saying he'll provide good disposal out of the back half and a cool experienced head. No thanks.

An amazing football game but I couldn't agree more Gorg. I don't know how much more Williams could have released from the initial mutual contact. I don't usually like to bring games down to one call but it's hard not to on this one. Brutal call
  9. Absolutely, if you want to meet the absolute gutter of supporters of any footy club head to the Facebook pages. I do feel sorry for this poor woman who is probably going through a fair bit herself right now. It would just be great if she knew the majority of Melbourne fans here while disappointed it didn't work out are really concerned about what is happening with Harley right now and dearly want to see him back on track and ready for the next phase.
  10. I don't really know how to say this or what the answer is given it's astounding in the first place, but we need our players to know each other on field a lot better and know their games. The majority of this list has been together 4 years now and the number of times we lack cohesion and handball to a guy flat footed, burn an open man making a run through the middle and kick short to the flank and either all fly or all stay down in the forward line... It literally looks like a team playing together for the first time or one that has had massive list changes and hasn't gelled yet. A lot on here have said lately that our guys tend to play individually at times and not as a team and it's right, how often do we need to see footage of how MFC players rushed their kick without knowing where teammates were. You need to know who the guys are around you and aspects of their game but right now it seems like they don't really pay much attention to that. Hearing this stuff about how Freo spent the break really honing in on their strategy and how they can drill it in, almost like they were studying for an exam. Then you hear T-Mac saying how we were really just doing the odd Zoom meeting to check in, and see how guys were etc. It says a lot and they need to solve it.
  11. Seems like a real complex one. Did we tell him he would be cut and this forced the decision? A series of things in such a short space of time has led to this. Glad he gave it a crack and very much hope he gets his life on track.
  12. This is such a good post! Cheers!
  13. Would have loved him even a couple of years ago but it's simply a no now.
  14. I literally came across this last night I couldn't get over the quality of some of the footage. As a kid all I had was those 60 seconds of black and white newsreel footage of the 64 grand final to go by for past MFC glory but this stuff is a beauty!
  15. That's fair enough but it scares you a bit about the region we'd need to pay to possibly keep him.
  16. Yeah saw the $700-800K as well, eep...
  17. The one player we may need the most but also the one player Essendon should not be parting with, even more so than Daniher in my opinion.
  18. What does this measure? Runs a player makes over a certain distance? Would need to know more but that is still interesting. I agree speed of ball movement and decision making are the key things required over pure leg speed but we can't rule it out completely as if it's not important at all. Spreading and setting up a zone when we don't have the ball is a crucial part of the game plan so speed is still handy.
  19. Yep. We went on and on about how bad the umpiring was and at times it was terrible but our discipline was shocking as well at crucial points.
  20. Absolutely stoked for Trac and yes the sky is the limit. He's developed the right habits and hopefully will be raring to go again even better next year.

Titans, Rams, Bucs. This week stinks for tipping but there's some real fun games.
  22. Not too fussed about the team in general. Might as well get TV week to do the voting in future, will yield the same result.
  23. Can't see him being more than a forward pocket/high half forward, just can't see him running out a game on a wing.
  24. Good question! Lean towards Hogan because if he's not kicking bags he can still run and get up the ground but you do worry about those injuries.
