Your favourite music to get you through to the Grand Final
I think 10 to 11 Tuesday night prelim week is perfect for this one. And itβs certainly time for the Demon cleaner!

Your favourite music to get you through to the Grand Final
For sure, it definitely gets you going. I think I might have turned off them a bit the last time I saw them when Dani just walked off the stage with a couple of songs to go in the gig. Everyone should love Electric Wizard in my opinion :p Orange Goblin I may have to check out! Have you heard of Uncle Acid and the Dead Beats Gonzo?

Can La Sexorcisto get a look in? Grindhouse a go-go? :) Cradle takes me back, haven't listened to them since Godspeed and Midian was the last album I enjoyed. Her Ghost in the fog remains my favourite Cradle track.

Illmatic is a classic. Maybe the purest hip hop album. By the way if anyone can go from metal to hip hop in the next sentence without batting an eye lid, then I know I could probably talk music with them for hours :)

Night Grand Final 2021
I don't want to hear anymore about the AFL 'making the best of a bad situation'. This is about the 5th next best thing. Ah well, at least we'll get 5 extra tv viewers in Los Angeles at 2am..

The healthy mental health thread
Thought it might be time to check in again and see how everyone is going. We certainly didn't see September 2021 being like this, in more ways than one! In brief 2021 has been way harder for me personally than 2020. I felt like last year there was a certain novelty to being at home and having to do things like exercise, socialising and work from the comfort of one room. This just isn't there any more for me I'm afraid and it's not the stuff that we all know about bit its my coping mechanisms that dont seem to be getting the balance required. For instance Yoga was a saviour for me last year and I was happy to stay disciplined and get the mat out at home and keep the routine going. Then we went back to physical classes and I remembered just how beneficial doing yoga in a group was. Of course we go into lock down again and for whatever reason I'm finding it hard to muster up the motivation and self discipline to practice how I would normally and when I do manage to practice it just isn't having the benefits mentally that I'd like. Quite often I'm still pent up with anxiety and thoughts going at a million miles an hour during and after a session. Being able to 'shut off' Is a real key action if you are able to do it but it has not been easy at all. Interested to hear about others experiences lately and what are you some things that keep you going?

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
Mine is still available, PM if keen. Maybe tell us a short story on how you started following the Dees to filter out the bots :p

FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
Some would say itβs silly to suggest conspiracy but it would be equally silly to ignore it and turn the blind eye. I think deep down no one argues with free kicks that are there and nothing will ever be perfectly level but thereβs a tipping point.

Where would Melbourne be without Ron Barassi.. Thank you Ron!

What they are saying at Moorabool Street
No Gawn doesnβt scare Stanley, Stanley just has the image of Maxβs backside as he marked that night embedded in his brain every night he goes to sleep.

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
Yep, same here.

FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
I donβt pay much attention to free kick counts or umpiring in general but I think what most people are pointing out on this thread is the higher than usual disparity between free kick counts and over a number of games. Ie. the critical mass of data is becoming overwhelming. Not to mention the kinds of frees paid/not paid. Even someone like myself who usually fobs off any ideas that umpiring makes a massive difference is starting to take notice.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
For sure Binman. Stretch them out of position and get them doing the hard yards early.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
Helps a lot. As I said I donβt think this group is rattled at all by this kind of task, itβs just nervous fans like me that use stats like this to worry! But these are all the positive affirmations Iβm going to be telling myself every day this week :)

Will you be satisfied with the Season of 2021 even if we lose the Preliminary Final
Totally agree especially about the umpiring being the excuse losers make. I don't believe we can be beaten in the air down back and I think if we're playing close to our potential that gets it done. The system is proven, the players are professional and do their job. I really feel unless there is some kind of coaching masterstroke in the realm of Plough's flooding we are really the only ones that can hurt us.

Well said. Way too much crapping on posters happening lately.

Gus & Gawney Podcast - special guest Simon Goodwin
Great episode. Max always asks the kind of questions I would want go know answers to. You don't often hear Goody in this setting either (Well I don't anyway).

In for tipping. Need to get on that medal board.

It's a really boring season I reckon.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
And how!

PF: Port Adelaide vs Bulldogs
Yeah that's probably a fair point depending on how these sore guys pull up.
-
FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
Sure feels that way. The conversation always starts with no-one thinking a change is needed then after some complaining, snap decisions are made.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
Big ask to beat a quality team like Geelong 3 times in a year but I don't think this group will be phased by that.
