  1. To an extent yes. I'm starting to think though that to be a KPF in our forward line you need to have at least some level of physicality and strength. With our aim to lock it in there and have repeat stoppages, bring the ball to ground etc there would be a fair bit of grunt work required. I'm sure in time he's bulk up and add strength but he looks like he'll be more the rangey forward than anything else. According to the reports he does have great speed off the mark and marks in front very well. This comes back to the current problem of the way we move the ball through the middle and deliver into 50 to play to his strengths. Happy to back the FD on this one if they select him but do have reservations.

Alright it seems fashionable.. Bill walks past his neighbour Tom's house one morning and notices his car in the driveway has a cracked windshield and a seriously dented bonnet. It's also extremly dirty with mud, grass and even some red looking substance all over it. Tom comes outside to say g'day. Tom: Morning neighbour! Bill: Mate, what happened to your car? It looks like you've driven through the apocalypse? Tom: Haha, yeah it's a heck of a story actually. Truth is I hit a pedestrian with my car last night on High St. Bill: My goodness Tom is everything alright? Tom: Yeah look it's going to be a bit of a job getting this all fixed. As for the person I hit, you won't believe who it was either! Jack Ginnivan from Collingwood! Bill: My goodness, I don't even know where to start with all this! Gee wiz. Hey hang on a second, that explains the damage to the car but it looks absolutely filthy as well. What's that about? Tom: Oh after the incident he tried to escape through the park.
  3. Not that it's ever an excuse and you play who you play, but copping Brisbane in that semi final really did not help us. By that point they had too much film and study acquired on us (especially with the most previous game being 2 weeks previous). It is hard enough for anyone let alone Hibberd to play on one of the league's best small forwards 3 times and come up trumps every time. I also thought Smith was labelled a bit harshly in the 21 QF, there was 1 goal that I definitely thought he erred but little else apart from that. If we take that approach with Smith then the same should be taken with Hibbo. Beaten? Yes, disgraced? No.
  4. Out of all the main KPF prospects in this draft, Jefferson is the one I've seen the least of. What I have seen suggests some clear upside with good hands overhead but he does look quite skinny. I feel we really do need someone that can hold their own in the contest and get physical when required.
  5. You probably won't hear anything until the eve of next season in a short interview with a player or staff member and a couple of off the cuff lines about how we identified the issues and believed we have addressed them, this will be as good as it gets.
  6. Great all round season from Gus and was unlucky not to sneak in to the main AA side. Like others I might have had slightly higher hopes when he moved into the middle but we know what we get from him now and there's tonnes of other mids in this comp that butcher the ball with regularity.
  7. Still so stoked that this deal was done.
  8. Good signing. At least we won't have a Jacko 2.0 next year

Not happy about it, when he's healthy he can hit the hole. Kyle usually needs at least one back that can do that regularly. Hopefully Mason and Davis-Price can make the step up.

  11. Must say I've been thinking a lot more about the whole precinct thing lately. I want nothing more than to have something in the shadows of the G but if there's a chance to have everything we ever wanted out at Casey? I don't know I'm just getting tired of this.
  12. I dunno if anyone ever read the book Deadly Anna but Keeler reminds me of the ruckman 'Thumper' in that book. Stars at that level and looks powerful but I do wonder how he will mix it with the big boys.
  13. I love these articles that try to make everything black and white

26 touches in the game, it's fun to watch but you wonder if it's sustainable. It all comes down to how Kyle manages everyone, hopefully he find the way.

I'm convinced we got McCaffrey to keep him away from the Rams.

  17. A really good question, I'm sure it can be done on a PC. I'm sure plenty of other people would prefer this option as well.
  18. Pretty amazing. Speaking of drum Cams I recommend people get a look at a Danny Carey drum cam.

Great fit, but if they think they are one RB piece away from a Superbowl team they are kidding themselves.
  20. I feel like more St Kilda fans than neutrals are pumped about the Lyon appointment.
  21. I used to be with it but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me.
  22. Not that I don't care at all about him but my interest in what he's doing has halved.
  23. I had Cripps falling just short of the Brownlow, he had a good season but some big club bias might have helped him a bit. Still a worthy winner though.
