  1. I thought his season last year was far and away his best one at MFC.
  2. I see what you're saying as we do need mature age depth but we just need to be careful that any recycled guys we get don't become list cloggers. I trust that we'll be looking at all available and if the right player comes along we'll do what we can to get them. Just comes down to how many of those do leave.
  3. It's a very nice destination for Jayden really. They would love his quirky nature over there.
  4. Makes perfect sense. It would suck if clubs just let Geelong have a straight line to him.
  5. I haven't seen much of Callum Brown but he looks so slightly built. Does he have a decent tank? I just can't see much for him other than a Caleb Daniel type distributor role off back. Can't see him running through an AFL midfield week after week.
  6. You always worry when these sleeping giant clubs like Essendon and Carlton claim they are doing the full shortlist process, sometimes they just can't help themselves and they are handpickers at heart. You just have to feel sorry for guys like Adem who go down the garden path to the end several times.
  7. It's real 101 stuff isn't it! There's been tons of books written on win-win negotiation in business and it has clearly worked in AFL trading. Individual trades get put under the microscope a lot when it's really about the long run and you do want to pay it forward to an extent so you can manifest something down the treack if needed. I'd love to extract big time value for LJ but I would probably take those two picks at this stage. Have to remember the trade period is short and you're on the clock to make deals, no use turning up on the day and requesting pick 2 with the threat to walk.
  8. Sadly, no. The Bennell experiment still scars a little.

It's not pleasant and I'd hope that they treated him and his brother with the utmost respect. I guess a lot of clubs do things differently, some get an inkling a few weeks out that they won't be offered a new deal and some by the look of it get the news all in one hit.
  10. Would it be fair to say the ruckmen that succeed around that height really need to be the athletic running ruckmen eg. Goodes, White, Stynes, P Moore?
  11. NFL

    Vikings, Bears, Chargers

Yeah Cooper is no world beater but he's proven he can win games, always like these stories where an opportunity presents and a QB takes it and boosts their stock level.
  13. Should he stay or should he go? If he stays there will be trouble but if he leaves there will be double.

I didn't read the article but I kind of assumed the worst that he wasn't even told that he was going to be de-listed and found out in the papers or something. That is much, much worse!
  15. I would really love it if a building club got him. St Kilda should be pushing Brad Hill out the door for this trade.
  16. Would you rather keep Bedford or Hunt?
  17. Fair enough, it is total garbage at the moment. The Brenton Sanderson clarification on the Rayner stuff was almost as bad as the original comments. But seriously if you can recommend soemthing else for me to listen to I'll be very grateful!
  18. This is all true but if these clubs and their pencil pushers are worth their salt they should at least be linked to this so they can at least sound like they know what they are doing. I'd hate to be a member of either of these clubs, they stink.
  19. Might need a washable tape measure.
  20. You're right sorry, excuse the ignorance. "Let go" was the better phrase to use.
  21. Post favourite surf spots here please.
  22. This is a new attitude OD, as of this year! I've enjoyed many Grand Finals all jokes aside. 2018 was magnificient, also really enjoyed the 2012 one with the Malceski snap to seal it. As for 1970, wasn't around at the time but I specially bought it on DVD when I was younger because I liked the idea of wartching Collingwood choke over and over again. One of the true Grand Finals.
  23. I'd prefer Liam Henry to Sparkle Narkle.
  24. Apparently Geelong have been into Bowes for a while and whoever is on Trade Radio in the morning reckons they are firming as one of the favourites to snare him and that sweet, sweet no.7 pick. Seriously other clubs, what are you doing you nitwits? Looking at you St Kilda, Essendon, everyone else etc.
