I might have missed something but who is currently the acting CEO?

Worth a try, would take the DL NFL tipping group to a whole new level!

It's funny isn't it. Wisconsin is undoubtedly a football state. Basketball has a solid following there with the Bucks and Badgers but football is definitely king.

    Is the prize any good?
  5. Thank you Binman. Summed up in a sentence the way I've felt about JVR all along. When I've moaned about him playing too much ruck time it's never been because I don't think he can do it or wouldn't be a valuable pinch hitting ruck asset down the track (I think he's more than capable in that area for that matter), it was purely because the kid was in his second full season and putting a lot of unnecessary wear on the tires early on. Whether people think JVR is the no.1 Key forward for our future or not, he's already a very important part of our forward line and he needs to be able to a) focus on developing his craft in that area and b) have minimised risk of injury as I don't believe we can afford to be without him.
  6. I imagine so, must have had the stuffing knocked out of him. Coming from a long way back, will likely have his own mini pre season.

Yeah you're right Gonzo, on around page 45 of the MCC guide for this year it says you can do it. However, @peasant is right. I just tried the ticketmaster site with my MCC barcode and it says 'no entitlements available for this member code'. No idea what this is about, season hasn't even started yet and we have to do the work 😑

Not far off. Need to get some of those 30s and 40s into the 50s and 60s

Was that the reciprocal MCC rights thing where it allowed you to buy Centre wing seats for about $60? I do remember that, but have no idea if it's still a thing.

Hopefully the winds of change start blowing downwards at Port.
  12. I think I could hear Johnny Most yelling "Henderson steals the ball!"
  13. That sound proof room at home must do wonders blocking out the outside world 😉
  14. Nice job, a mascot joke always goes down well here!
  15. Not me, I'm actually hoping to go through the whole season not consuming any AFL media and watching games on mute.
  16. People get hung up about the game style and not wanting to turn up if it isn't attractive footy. I believe we need to evolve our style but I loved every moment of the way we played footy that year.
  17. I wouldn't have traded pick 28 for him, but no-one could have seen this injury coming.

  21. "Have to do my time there" Only a couple of things iffy with that sentence.
  22. The similar aged me went through the final moments of that game in their mind afterwards possibly more than any other in memory. What could we have done? Why did we let Leigh Brown free in the 50 to kick the goal that got them within a point? With 10 seconds left in our backline maybe we should have just kicked a rainmaker up to the wing so even if Freo got possesion back the hangtime might have taken more time off the clock. Every single scenario that we could have done better. It may not have been billed as a big game to the public but as game time came round it ramped up. Freo were undefeated at Subi and it was being nicknamed the house of pain taking victim after victim. They asked Neale about this on the pre game coverage and Danners just replied "Well, we haven't been here yet this year". It was such a tough game, goals at a premium and it felt like the only ones being scored were really good ones. Losing Jeff hurt so damn much in the first place, this was just cruel.

Hopefully I get the same thing in April. Prepared to hold firm.
  24. And now we have the much unwanted time on the sidelines to think about life..
