  1. Always happy to try new stuff Jim, only reason I got TP-Link is because I've only ever had them so it's unconscious brand loyalty. The Orbi does look nice though and has everything you need. And this one is fantastic for all things WIFI 5 related. I was keen to add the Deco Mesh but you can't add it to this one only the Archer VX1800v which is less of a premium product so it doesn't make sense. The house isn't too big, just get a slight dead spot in the living room from time to time. Honestly I would solve a lot of problems if I connected the TV with ethernet and figure out why it's kicking everything out. I hope it's just a router configuration and nothing to do with the outlet itself!
  2. Someone told me the other day we're about 20,000 behind what we were this time last year, is that the case?
  3. I get this too, sort of goes a bit Benny Hill. Btw after my last post I learned that you can't do a mesh setup with a TP-Link VR2800 modem/router. So if anyone is planning to mesh and looking at buying one of these second hand to save a few bucks like I did, don't.
  4. I tried to plug my TV into the ethernet but it kicked out the whole internet and I can't be bothered to get to the bottom of it yet so WIFI for now.
  5. I'd hate if it were 9 out of 10 free throws. I'd be hoping it's more like 4 out of 10 jump shots and 2 out of 10 three pointers! It probably is on the worse end and there are definitely players who we know can shoot for goal better ie Fritta, Petty but I just can't see the accuracy ever being at sniper agent levels I'm afraid.
  6. I may well be, but that's the situation we're in. We prioritised certain skill sets as now we're having to make the most of what we have. I would even argue that consistent forward pressure is rated a higher trait than being able to hit 5 set shots in a row. We can't turn a Jeep into a Ferrari at this point. As far as accuracy goes we just have to hope that it's as good as it can be.
  7. NFL

I have no idea how this one will turn out, Gorg's post sums it up beautifully at first glance. But one thing I think works in his favour is that the Steelers do play a fast style offense and use no huddles quite a bit. Could be a fun watch. The other thing with Aaron is that while he obviously doesn't move the way he used to, he still throws the ball really well. I saw a short clip of their minicamp and he's still zipping 30 yarders in at speed. If he's got enough decent route runners around him (Metcalf, Austin and Washington nothing to sneeze at) then he might not even need to be the best version for it to work. I can see it being like the Favre season in Minnesota, but it could also be a blip on the screen.
  8. Healy off, Ellingworth on!
  9. This is why I don't even bother with the 'they need to do more goal kicking practice' line. I reckon I've seen Max nail 3 set shots in a row in the training sessions I've been to, with head over the ball and no sideways running out as well. Psychological is a huge part of it but also the fact that our list doesn't have enough of the natural kicking technique to begin with. I honestly just want to see 50% conversion on a regular basis, we can improve a little but we aren't going to shoot the lights out like Adelaide. Look at Darcy Fogarty for example, that guy came into the league as one of the best set shots in that draft. I just want to be comfortable in the knowledge that if we generate X amount of scoring chances, we can convert somewhat of a winning score.
  10. I think Winsdor is a good 'find the target' with weighted kick but he's probably not going to spear drop punts onto chests like a knife. The comparisons with Gulden are a bit harsh though. Probably the best field kick in the league by a stretch
  11. It is kind of funny how the old CEO was/is still part of the project and the new CEO hasn't started yet but is doing work on it as well
  12. Ronald Deeman FTW
  13. You could cut the relief with a knife.
  14. At first glance I'd agree but I remember a lot of people saying at the time how much he never shut up about tactics and stuff, seemed like he was very keen on it as well. Doesn't always translate though.
  15. 9 CBA attendances for Clarry in that game? That slipped past me. We're sitting here worried about going forward with Trac, Clarry and Viney in the middle all the time when the stats are clearly showing that Kozzie had around 20 CBAs. It's annoying because now you have to think about a new complaint to have about our midfield 😛
  16. Interesting Daz. After he retired I would have thought coaching was a natural move for him as he does seem to have the brain for it. I'm actually surprised to hear that he's not in the AFL anymore, last I remember he'd gone back to GWS from Sydney. Probably a sign.
  17. Couldn't agree more on the new site. The south-eastern corner makes a lot of sense and would have more scope for development. As the son of an architect I had shadowing concepts drummed into me all my life. Sun positioning, time of year, angle of casting relative to building height etc. Almost couldn't get away from these conversations but thankfully it's given me some knowledge and this site would be much less invasive at all times of the year in terms of shadowing as opposed to the south-western corner. The access is a big part of it too considering this will be one of the most commonly used features. Really hope we get some traction on this.
  18. With the space they have at Caulfield they could have a god damn petting zoo if they wanted.
  19. When he left I thought it was time for change. But if we do end up looking for a new footy boss I'd be open to having the chat. Was a particularly good operator in trade periods.
  20. Missed opportunity for sure, but this was a game where the weather should have dampened Collingwood's running and slingshot style. They played the game mostly on our terms and won, makes me sick to say it. 2023 was definitely the season that got away, but while this game was a major miss it gets a little overblown in my view in comparison to the Swans one.
  21. I don't care if it's 100% not possible, the job is to keep this thread ticking over and you're all doing a sterling job. We all know media lurks here so we'll give them something to read.
  22. This. The Sydney QF gets glossed over as an afterthought in the line of 4 MCG finals losses. People talk about Collingwood and that could have been very different but were were generally trailing by 3 goals for most of the game after QT. The Sydney game could have been the statement, back in Melb and mean business. I was behind the goals at the Punt Rd end when Clarry's set shot went through and thought bang, bang, bang mk2 was in the works. Our system would have seen that game out 9 times out of 10. Guess we were just too banged up.
  23. It's a tough one. We've got plenty who are good with butcher's knives but arrows? I'd probably just give the bow to someone like Langford.
  24. Nah its probably about that 🤣
  25. She had to wait 20 years!
