  1. I'd be embarrassed if I was a Dockers fan. Comes across as some loser that blames the media every time they write something. Welcome to free enterprise Mr Garlick. Tin pot club with loser mentality.
  2. Nawwww 🎻 Why Dockers are so disappointed...Why Dockers are so disappointed with Demons over Jackson...“Melbourne should take our players names out of their mouth!”
  3. You are correct. People who are happy with Kozzie's deal will need to accept that Goodwin is here for the duration.
  4. Well maybe 8/10 because he did it last week. Agree though.
  5. I was surprised as well. Everyone pre game was wondering how Melb could make it a game and felt we needed to stop Collingwood's ball movement. Well we did it with a solid plan which was solid contest footy, territory and forcing repeat stoppages. Definitely felt like watching a 21-23 kind of game. However there is that different flavour of switching and looking for the inboard kick occasionally rather than coercing it down the boundary line. I think we as fans look back at individual instances of something not working in a game and decide that it doesn't work when the big picture says otherwise. Just like a forward press can work for 90% of a game but that one time they get out the back and score it 'doesn't work'. I actually think if the effort and intensity is consistent we will win many more games than we lose from here on out. The 0-5 start is the killer so I'd have us finishing around 10th.
  6. It's so easy to take Max's armchair rides for granted..
  7. I don't know, I really don't. A month ago I thought his set shooting was getting back to what it once was because he was finally past the lisfranc stuff but lately.. The preferred idea must be for him to be down back but there's always the glaring need up forward. Rock and a hard place. In a perfect world I'd be keeping him back for a while and not changing anything.
  8. I miss Daisy's commentary. Made some of the guys she sat next to look like muppets.
  9. Took way too long for Garry to get in but rapt that it has finally happened. We forget just how good a player Garry was and maybe the back and hamstring injuries had something to do with it but for a skinny lad when he first came down he could certainly take a towering mark and launch it 50 plus metres through the big ones regularly.
  10. Great job Daisy, true legend
  11. Congratulations Garry, it's been a very long time coming. The most natural leader that I've ever seen skipper this club.
  12. No, no, I think it's a great idea because he's torn up so many games playing in the middle with 30 plus possessions and a beacon of consistency. Let's make sure we throw every last bit of our cap at Kozzie and make it the least team friendly contract possible. We dont need a key forward or any other pieces You said it yourself we'll be bursting at the seems with nothing left for anyone else. There is nothing risky about it at all and no-one will be annoyed when he misses games with his token suspensions. My take is what it is, don't let it spoil the mood. I couldn't give a stuff anymore and if people don't like the lack of pom-pom flogging and feel good [censored] then I obviously don't belong here anymore.
  13. As long as we pay the man who cares hey! And anyone who dares to think sinking a king's ransom into a small forward is risky is clearly off their head.
  14. Forward fix? Isn't paying Kozzie a million a year the forward fix?
  15. Yeah fair point. Just my opinion, I know it slightly differs from the others. Ultimately I'm for it and i think he's entitled to a payrise, I don't think it's unreasonable to be sceptical though. Whether or not people want to admit it Kozzie is still just a talent. I'd expect to pay a million a year to a multi all australian, averages 3 goals a game or goes into the middle and carves teams up regularly with 30 touches and maximum damage. I'm a little surprised to see such a unanimous response on this thread but DL is prone to throw up surprises 😀
  16. You make the deal for sure but it's hardly a banker. I'd also want to be paying that kind of money to someone who wants to be here. I do think Freo would offer a 7 year deal because you usually pay overs to attract players. I also know that history isn't littered with good examples of big money long term deals to keep stars at clubs. Wasn't that long ago that we decided to inherit someone else's mess in that area. I think it would be a positive move, I'd like to see some money spent on glaring areas of the park and after lacking cutting edge yesterday it's very clear that Kozzie can't carry this forward line even on a million a year. But yeah, probably dumb not to sign him.
  17. Yeah, that's probably worth the price of admission alone
  18. Very very big money. Am I the only one who finds this a bit strange with 2 years to run? If the last contract didn't stop the speculation then why is this different? I believe he's worth it but it's hardly no brainer.
  19. Honestly, a win over the Saints last week would make this one a little easier to bare. Signs were encouraging and we might play some very good footy from here on out but every conversation will be pre qualified with the 0-5 start. It rules out pretty much anything.
  20. I think this is exactly what it was. I think it's been said that Max didn't even hear what he said. May can be direct but I think the very nature of seeing a direct character's face approaching you can make you react this way especially when emotions are high. Could be right, could be wrong, think it's a storm in a teacup though.
  21. Least favourite thread is the pre game one right now.
  22. Although proud of the effort today, I'm sick of going into games like this fearing the worst, having a gallant performance and then praising the result like we're a bottom 4 rebuilding team and not a team with just as many premiership players as the opposition.
  23. Proud of the boys and their 4 quarter effort. The story is unfortunately the same though with our lack of cutting edge up forward. The chances were there to win it late and it's times like this where we're bemoaning our ability to score with entries. On days like this, 10 goals from 54 inside 50s isn't enough return. Are we getting enough from our forwards?
  24. Loved Fritta's goals in that last quarter but that decision to play on is stuck in my head. For a guy who's job is to kick goals when the chances come and a guy who has done it in the biggest game, I was baffled with this decision to play on. There was the other moment when he chose to kick to the top of the square. He kicked one shortly after that from his great handball so I don't want to go too hard but n a game where goals are hard to come by you just tear your hair out in those moments. You just don't see Collingwood doing this in pressure moments.
