Bailey Humphrey
Been out for about 4 hrs. Is there any more chance of him coming than there was at midday?

Imploding
Agree. If we were imploding there probably wouldn't be any leaks.

2025 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee
Big loss. I hold nothing against Judd and wish him the best but it is difficult when you discover someone, put the time into them only to see them depart. That is the sport though. I hope we get a decent return.

Rebuild or Renovate?
If we are talking a full rebuild of the list, probably not required. However a rebuilding of the overall club including the football department (in my opinion), the culture, the sport science and a re-tooling of the list is necessary. Someone mentioned we're like Collingwood when McCrae arrived. I think that's a reasonable comparison, maybe like GWS when Kingsley arrived as well. Getting in ahead of the compromised drafts could be a short term pain long term gain thing. It's going to be a lot harder to do this in 2 years time.

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
Don't mind the 2 year deal but injury prone. Would have been a great get 3 years ago, feels a little Chris Dawes.

I got round to watching the replay on Fri night. I usually watch games with total media blackout but both of our games got spoiled for me last week which really ticked me off. This was an amazing game (which would have been better if not spoiled). Most exciting regular season game we've had for a while. I thought going for it was a good call as well but I totally agree that particular play call was probably 3rd on the list of what I was expecting. Definitely thought there would be some kind of Stafford dink and dunk in the flat or even a HB sweep if they actually were going to run. Was surprised to hear McVay say the call was a mistake and that it was his fault, was he talking about the decision to go for it or the actual play call? It's nice to hear a coach take responsibility though. Do you think Kyle would do that? Ha!

Bailey Humphrey
With Flanders out I don't care if there is only a 10% chance of Humphrey we need to do everything possible. So highly rated by Taylor at draft time, would love it if he occasionally got his first choice.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Telling Clarry he may no longer be a midfielder is akin to telling Grundy that he needed to go back to the VFL to work on his forward craft.

Melbourne Storm
Agree Rodney. League is an excellent TV sport but that is the best form. There might be some special aspects to it but I think they're crazy when they call it the best sport in the world.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Yeah, the only people that worry about perceived draft pool talent are usually fans on message boards..

Farewell Christian Petracca
Why are people worrying about Tasmania in the 25 and 26 Drafts and using that as a reason not to accept picks in the teens? I understand that academy selections could push picks down but you do know that Tasmania enters the draft in 27 right?

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Yeah its a bit like that isn't it. 4 years since is still a bit too soon, we all thought it was the start of something that would be tough to beat for the decade ahead..

They say you get the trade period you deserve as fans.

No good telling players these things in advance only for it to leak. We need to go back to blindsiding people at the last minute ala Woewodin..

Unfortunately, simply sacking the coach wasn't going to stop the leaks.

AFL Trade Radio 2025
Does anyone have a better way of listening to trade radio other than the AFL app? Talk about clunky..

I am sick to death of bombshell trade periods.

2025 Player Reviews: #12 Koltyn Tholstrup
We all knew he was a speculative pick at the time. A wildcard with great potential upside but they don’t always come off. I desperately want Kolt to succeed and I’m not in any way saying that there are alarm bells, a new coach could help kickstart his career. However I have to agree with others that I’m not really seeing 'it' right now. To include him in a future core group alongside Windsor, Langford and Lindsay feels more wishful than anything with actual substance. If there was something to hang the hat on it would be different eg. A few more booming goals with limited chances or some nice raking passes across the ground but so far it’s mainly been bit part efforts. Really hope we can see some improvement in 26.

He really gives off a genuine vibe. Some are just like that.

You gotta love it when a day off lines up with the schedule. Our industry always shuts down the Monday before Melbourne Cup so that is always my day where I chill out with redzone and games and just watch as much football as you can poke a stick at! Do you do full on trail running? Would be awesome around there. I haven't been able to do a proper 5+ km run this year. Got a grade 3 Spondy (lower back) injury. It's actually been really tough not being able to run ☹️

Me too, would be awful timing otherwise. Will back @Dannyz over 'Tom the Tongue' though.

Maybe it's a similar role but in the new coach's words.
