I think Fullarton comes in for Billings, starts on the bench with Sparrow starting hff.

The fat shaming was the old skin folds test, you would come off your break and see the callipers and you knew your were in trouble. Then coming back after Christmas always 3-4km time trail and skin fold test.

The window is open as long as your trading and drafting continues to help improve. Have we added better quality players to our list, not for 2023 season, for 2024 McAdam, Fullarton and Billings traded in to fill gaps, but we lose Melksham injured, Grundy, Harmes, Jordan. What can B Brown and TMac offer in 2024, vital in 2021 but no impact foe last 2 seasons? Will Petty be healthy and partner up with JVR? We all know we can get the ball inside our f50, can we improve on the delivery to convert into more goals. The window is open, but we do have some serious questions on a few players and how we have played.

Woewodin, I thought he showed enough last year in the games he played.

Hard one, they aren't full time players, big commitment to leave home for 20 odd weeks a year. -
AFLW Sign, Draft and Trade Period 2023-24

We are adding a very quick inside/outside player with very good skills in Rigoni, good size will fit nicely into the side next year off half back or on a wing and like her dad will be Bull in the midfield in couple of years -
I think Fullarton will play with Petty and JVR. I reckon Woewodin will also play.
-
Does that mean the point system is gone? What happens if the bid comes after your pick in that round, do you the need to use your future, example Croft, would the bulldogs loose future first?
-
Next year Brisbane gets another Ashcroft early tip for pick 1, im sure they will have something in there academy. It means they can be aggressive at the trade table knowing they only need points to cover the bid.
-
Sydney and Brisbane are starting to double dip, you have the NGA and FS picks.
-
We also need to remember free agency, not sure when this was introduced. Clubs more likely to move players on to get a better deal than they would with free agency. Jackson prime example, 2 first round picks and a second instead on a first round pick around 15 to 20

I would like another forward who can play mid, rather than mids playing half forward like we do.

Watching his highlights he seems to kick the ball like Rich, low hard with real power in the kick.

2023 NATIONAL DRAFT ORDER AND SELECTIONS
drdrake replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
AFL will be concerned about tonight, it might turn out you had more picks on night 1 than what will be taken tonight. -
Looking at last night, the boys taken by all clubs looked physically ready to play AFL, big shoulders, physically developed young men. What an advantage the Northern Academies have, you can bring unlimited 12 to 15 year olds in give them elite training and get priority access to them.

It is pretty hard to go back to back in any top level sporting comps in the world. Rarely happens, teams spend preseason working on ways to beat you. The bottom line for our sides you turn the footy over you lose, hit targets by hand and foot you win. I think they need sports physiology just to bring it back to basics and stop over thinking the game. Control the footy you control the game.
-
Or we think there will be better options with our mid 40s pick.
-
Yep, the inner city seats you need female or Multicultural policy, might be more for preferences than the vote especially the Greens in that area. Got to be in a swing electorate as well.
-
Yeh, the government doesn't give a rats if MFC has facilities less than other clubs. They look at the community benefit, you need to add layers, the Pies used Netball to get money then folded their Netball side. Richmond use bash Houli Academy, Essendon paraolyimpics, Carlton and dogs home of female football. What is our sell.
-
If no club nominates Brown, I think AFL rule is we can put him as cat B rookie, that could be wrong but I remember someone mentioning this last year.
-
Love to see Bowey move onto a wing, he has a good footy brain and is very good by foot. No idea on his tank.
-
O'Sullivan if he is there at 6, just gives that key, really Tomlinson, Schache, B Brown, Tmac 2024 will be there last at Melbourne. May and then Petty uncertainly the year after. You get a key, give them 12 months development at Casey to push for selection the following year.

The 2023 Draft and Trade Targets Thread
drdrake replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree with this, personally wouldn't be drafting any Tassie kids in first round. The lure to play for the Tasmanian team will be to much so no point developing players to get around the same pick for them in 3 years -

O'Sullivan or Caddy with pick 6, Wilson or Windsor with pick 11
