Don't EVER Question the Passion i have for the MFC old Xav-you have no idea how i feel, what i put up with going through school in the '70's Like i said I love The Melbourne Football Club a lot more than i Hate the Filth.....Next.

Football is business now, & if the MFC wish to taste success & more to the point be a dictator of trends, we as a club need to pay Top coin for certain players. If Luke Ball ends up wearing a Melbourne Jumper, and plays good football for us helping the team win games i don't think anyone within the club will begrudge his wage. (That goes for any player btw), but we as a club must demand a top effort from all our list. Having Jim Stynes as President is going to make that last point more poignant. If Jim can do it, so can everyone. What he said sitting at that camp fire was inspirational to say the least.

Really Glad the Story was done. But it was badly written. But we got an insight into how strong and inspirational our President is. Jim & this club are going to rise. Beforehand i already knew it. Now i know for sure .

I love my Club The MFC a lot more than i well ever hate the Fith old X, and i despise the Filth.

Position 8, That is what the Club as a whole should be aiming for. Our team will still be under valued & to some degree & unknown to the other 15 sides. Early Foxtel games will help us to stay just under that Radar-that is a real Bonus. "The Darkest Hour is just before the Dawn"

Sadly Woewoddin was never a topline player on Grand final day. I felt sorry him personally.

By the end of Round 2 2007 Old Xav the MFC had lost our entire spine through injury from the senior team. Our season was effictively over, but thats footy. No side can be competitive under that scenario-not even Geelong.

During these sad times we are reminded what a great Radio Caller was the late Clinton Grybas. Rex is just a bully (My Way or else)

Fair point & part of me agrees, but i see our midfield as being very young next year, along with the forward line. We need to also recruit some experience to compliment the young talent that is coming IMO, so if it aint Ball who should we target? This Talk of Ball wanting to go to essendon is a joke really. With the exodus that has left there since seasons end, they are only marginally better off than us on paper as i see it. 9 Days to go....Thank God!

Yes i am sure old xav you would have much prefered if we had taken the "Richmond" way of thinking and won 5-7 games this year & thus put ourselves in Limbo for the next 5 or so years. No i get the feeling the Hierachy at the MFC wish this time to have a red hot crack & if we can do that by drafting some kids-good. You leave Russell Robertson right out of this one. He gave his number to Liam Jurrah with his blessing at the B & F so look out for the same no. 24. Robbo always played well against the Filth.

I would way prefer 18 as well but i am not going to get worried. I have full faith in BP and his team to get it right. The point i don't like is when players in the ND start playing favourites, which is the original reason this draft system was first bought in.

If the club see him as the Best option, whether it be 11 or 18 it is not a waste at all. that will be determined by who is picked up between 3-10 and then 12-17.we have 4 picks in the top 20. 3 kids & some experience is well worth considering.
