  1. Too young. RIP Irish.
  2. I'd love a team of jordies. According to the Herald Sun article about Ricky P, our tackling was extraordinary on the weekend. Being able to replicate this week in week out would be a huge step in our development.
  3. This is not a bad point. We haven't won many games over the last few years and we can't beat the Kangaroos or St Kilda at the G either. If there is a curse it's going to end this weekend. We're going to win by 5 goals.
  4. If a Melbourne player gave that kind of effort you'd boo them off the park. Harden the fark up mate.
  5. I've always had a soft spot for the tiges because a lot of my family goes for them but they were pretty feral today. Oh well, they're luck we didn't smash them by 80 points.
  6. Didn't hear a single boo myself.
  7. Completely agree. The concept of a 'breakout game' is typical wanky modern 'footyspeak'.
  8. I agree, it was great how he timed the handball and drew the two defenders to him. Sign of class.
  9. It would obviously depend on the deal, but I think he has the potential to be a good player and the only thing better than a big bloke in the forward line is two.
  10. Cam's a gun. Couldn't give a fark how often he's on twitter.
  11. Melbourne by 73 pts. Nev Jetta to flick the switch and kick 9.
  12. Night time is only prime time when it's Friday night. Apart from that Sat arvo is the most popular time. Monday arvo will be more popular than Monday night.
  13. I think it's fitting that we'll have to win a game or two at Etihad to make the finals. We've been rubbish there for ages and now would be a good moment to turn that around. It's obviously completely impossible to predict how we'll go from now on. I think people should expect to have some matches like Friday night and some like against West Coast. That said, I think we'll slip into 8th. This is based on nothing but the fact that I'm generally an optimist.
  14. I agree. I think we've got a great young list that will be a terrific side in the not too distant future. Maybe bails will be the man to lead us forward, maybe not. I hope so, because I like the guy, but if it's not I won't be too worried. We'll just get someone else in. Our ascent from bottom to top was never likely to have an evenly spaced trajectory. I don't think the support being divided on the coach is a desperately terrible issue. It's just human nature to have differences of opinion. It doesn't mean either side loves the club any less. While I'm at it, I'm sick of the, "Essendon/Collingwood/Carlton wouldn't stand for this" opinion. If you're so enamoured with the supporters of opposition clubs, fark off and follow them.
  15. I reckon Megan Fox. Americans birds love aussie accents.
  16. If we have the same intensity we had last match, we'll win. Probably not as easily, but we'll win. It's as simple as that.
  17. He's got that wrong. I reckon Watts' first big contested grab was against West Coast at the G last year.
  18. BASED ON A MEDICAL REPORT FROM THE CROWS!!! The judiciary in this league is an absolute circus.
  19. I don't think it's unreasonable for people to put family ahead of the football. I went, but my mum doesn't really care about Mother's Day. The points made by Rogue (I think) above about how our supporters have supported our club through the dark points of the last few years are very salient.
  20. How does he get the same penalty as Brown did for doing a 'Leigh Matthews'? Sentencing is an absolute joke.
  21. I'll be going on Sunday because two and half years years ago they were going to shut the doors of this club. Forever. They said that this club didn't stand for anything, that it wasn't worth holding on to, that we should move to tassie or the Gold Coast. Then, as the saying goes about when the going gets tough, the Melbourne fans got going. It was the fans who donated the money, who signed up in record numbers even though we had our worst team in 25 years, who kept turning up, who made more noise than I'd ever heard Melbourne fans make. It was even the fans who found the sponsors. The Melbourne supporters saved the club. Doesn't stand for anything my arse. And the players responded. Who could forget, when Jimmy told us he was sick in 2009, the match the following weekend against West Coast. It was our most important match since the 2000 Grand Final. If ever there was a test of what the players stood for, it was that day. They needed to show that they loved the club half as much as Jimmy does. We won by 10 goals. In a season when we finished bottom and won four games. And Junior and Flash carried Jimmy's old jumper off the ground at the end. I still believe in these players and this coach because Jimmy still does. I know they'll turn it around because of the way they played that day in 2009. Other people can do whatever they want; it's not for me to tell other supporters how to act. But it seems silly to me that, having saved the club in its darkest hour, the fans would not get behind the team now. That they wouldn't turn out in even greater numbers, make even more noise. So, in answer to your question, yes, I'll be attending this Sunday. And I'll go every week because I'll love this club forever, unconditionally, and I'll always believe in it. If the players show me that they love the club half as much as I do, I'll go home happy. Unleash hell demons.
  22. You guys are carrying on like Richmond supporters. Setting up a facebook group is very tacky and lacks class. His kids will probably see that. Have a valium and go to bed. We'll win next week.
