  1. 2003. Anzac Day. There was a lot of booze and bad manners that night.
  2. Umpire Caulfield. Dogs got a shed load of goals from frees and to rub it in Chris Grant got 3 votes in the Brownlow despite getting killed by Neitz. (Which enabled Grant to get his Brownlow cancelled by Collo - karma bus.)
  3. I remember people saying Weetra was going to be a good player, but when he finally got a game, and I finally got to see him play, I groaned.
  4. I won't bother chasing a refund.

He had an ugly kicking action, but the ball generally went where it was intended.

    Anthony Ingerson.
  7. There's as much chance of a privately owned AFL club as there is of Geoffrey Edelsten inventing a cure for Corona Virus and bringing Christopher Skase back to life.

A cohort? I would have thought Darwin was more of a contubernium.

Did Col Hutchison get to the Cats' game? He's an official AFL statistician, isn't he? He could probably have gone last night. The Tigers' Dave Norman had not missed a Tigers game since 1973, but his run stopped a couple of years ago. He named his son Jack Dyer.
  10. When Jones started out he developed a reputation as a bit of a dodgy kick, but it became apparent around 2010, 2011, 2012 that he had been working hard on his kicking and he had become an excellent kick. It was only last year, when our system fell apart he had no one to kick to, that his kicking again seemed ropey.
  11. Melksham is clearly one of the best kicks in the league.

In isolation, a match at Optus without Eagles' fans is great, but from a wider perspective it would butcher the clubs' bank balances.
  13. Any suggestion to increase scoring that doesn't include either restricting or removing the interchange should be ignored.
  14. Big game AFL footy is still, at heart, a battle of competitive beasts. Few of those beasts are as competitive as our Jack. Writing him off through one-dimensionality or the Stack bump reveals more about the lack of footy smarts of the writer than it does about Jack.

The Tiger boys gathering for a group photo was NQR.

    Touch wood.
  17. When we lost to the Peptides, an Essendon mate of mine was raving about how Essendon had won the draft because Parish was clearly a better pick than Oliver. So, at least we got one back. But us losing to the Peptides was rolled gold Demonesque.
  18. Antinomy is an aberration. I assume you mean antithesis.
  19. "Soul" captain accidentally works.
  20. Dusty Petracca?
  21. Reef McInnes? REEF? Good grief.
  22. Pendlebury as the best ever Magpie is a big call. Recency much?
  23. Joe Montana will be rapt that his team won another Superbowl.

Definitely Northey. We had so many great wins against tough opposition. Daniher era we lost just about every time we played tough opposition.

Phil Gilbert kicked like a kid dobbing imaginary goals in his back yard.
