Very consistent performer who racks up his possessions and is very competitive. Perhaps he doesn't get the acknowledgements or kudos in the media, because he's not damaging to opposition sides. If he were highlighted or seen as a player to watch or stop by opposition sides he might get acknowledged a bit more. He is one player that hasn't been talked about that much in 'trading', yet. So he's more than likely seen as being a valuable contributor to the side over the next few years. More like I refused to accept the bleeding obvious RR!

Incorrect. They were awesome. (Ref: Ask the Geelong Fans). I agree davey_magik, Morton, McLean and Garland aren't "Just" players. They will be good players for the Demons. Decent Post Astrodee, I hope we put together a decent group, perhaps a bit better than Ray Jordan's group of the mid 80's...fingers crossed. I hope Robbie Hyde's opinion holds weight. If Maric is half as good as Daicos was....we'll all be very excited. Back to the topic....our draft picks over the last couple of years are still coming to fruition and some will blossom earlier than others. IMO we haven't wasted any just yet. More work and development into them needs to be implemented. Please forget the last game against Carlton last year, its gone. End of Story. Look to the future.

Whilst we may end up agreeing to disagree, I think your selling Clint Bartram short by stating that "his disposal is not good at all" and that he is a "massive concern" Watch him closely over the next 3 weeks, identify what he does and what his tasks are for the team and see if you come to the same conclusion.

So, I can bet on the Dees at $1.85 this week and sit back and relax Jacey? B)

The only place Cousins would fit in is 'doing the lines' and logos on the ground prior to each game.
-
Yes. Good summary of Newton and post Dr.Drake. That is a fair and reasonable target - 40 goals.

'Yes' is closing in..............

Careful...'Goose' will be offended if he heard you call me his name

Not that it is of a concern for now, but if Melbourne win two of the remaining three games, and West Coast lose all three, there is quite a reasonable chance that they can still finish bottom West Coast, on percentage. Then Melbourne and West Coast would both be locked on 16 points each at the end of the home and Away season. Of course Melbourne would have to beat WestCoast this week, which it could, then win one of their last two games against either Port Adelaide at AAMI or Richmond at the G. With only 6.2% separating the teams the maths does add up. Especially as West Coast has Geelong and Hawthorn to play.

Yes, I'm tipping another 9th or 10th finishing position for the Tigers...........god, you 've gotta love 'em!! The Board might decide to go for Sheedy once and for all!!

I'd lean towards this assessment of our Rucks. Let's hope Jamar can continue to improve in leaps and bounds, and really take that No.1 mantle by the scruff of the neck.

I swear this description matches someone on the wanted list for Crimestoppers going back a week or two.....

Easy to say in hindsight now the game is over and done RR. Maybe I was riding the wave of excitement from last weeks Mfc function. Like I have stated on another thread after the game, once I saw the two sides take the field - I was given a reality check before the bounce. I was astonished at the comparison in size of the players between both camps. The boys and footy department have alot of work to do RR, and we have a long wait.

Unfortunately in the Members it was alot of the older folk Melbourne supporters. Their roar included laughter and drew laughter from the Cats supporters. It was eerie.

You can talk we had a 50:85 split. 135 votes, 2 pages of comment. The boys were smashed by Geelong, simple. Don't know how you can refer to a Melbourne supporter and long time member as a tool, when he's supporting his team. Obviously you're not supportive of your team through hard times. You muppet.

Naitanui got mentioned in the Best for Swan Districts and was among the goal kickers. DeBoer mentioned in the Best for Claremont. Yarran kicked a few for Swan Districts. Not sure how Rich went, or Watts for that matter.

Sadly..Jeff has gone the way of the dodo. With respect to Bartram, every side needs this type of player. He has a reasonable engine to provide the run with role. He is quick and aggressive and a good tackler. I'm not worried about Clint Bartram. He's an honest footballer who gives he's all. I can't question his endeavour. He's not a penetrating kick, but he can kick and hit a target, probably needs to be better with his handballing. IMO he can only improve having only played 40-odd games.

I have mentioned before on this site that Hawthorn got rid of BB because of the state of their soft tissue injury list. Players at Hawthorn voiced their concern. Perhaps Melbourne should review BB, it may be a worthy exercise. I attended the NAB opener and Friday night. I remember Robbo and Meesen playing that NAB opener in March. Yes it was as fragile. On the flipside the Cats played a similar list that day to Friday nights game. On both occassions the Cats were simply awesome.

Good on you David. Thats great stuff. AFL needs traditional rivals like Melbourne and Collingwood in the AFL to continue, I helped Footscray and Nth Melb and even Richmond with the "save our skins" campaign. Moments like these we all need to stick together.
-
Totally agree Krazy Jay. Time to put him on show for those clubs. With the likes of Everitt, King and Gardiner most likely finishing up. Jeff White could get another chance at one of those clubs.

This is a far more accurate account of last night. I sat there in the members and cringed at the mistakes, but I also sat back and watched a professionally drilled outfit in Geelong display the most clinical display of footy in those conditions I have ever seen.
-
Will he? He might need another week. If he is 100%, yes put him in, we need a physical forward target.

Part of our structure was in the stands watching....Rivers, Miller, McLean, Moloney & Co.
