  1. And me.
  2. Required player who enjoyed a very good year personally under injury. Go close to B&F.
  3. They could just be waiting for him to return to Melbourne, to sign. Could all be completed, just not stamped/signed.
  4. Agree. High^5. Fresh coat of paint and a bit of mongrel. I'd like the midfield to return to the vein of form when Ratten was assistant.
  5. Always? I give credit where credit is due. I agree with others when they are correct or make statements that ring true to me. In this case, Goose, I find it almost impossible that all of Melbourne's picks can be sorted during trade period to be left between 1 and 40, that's all. if you didn't like my attempted pot shot with the example of Moses parting the sea, just ignore it. PS. It wasn't a one liner either, it was two lines.. I hope for this too. But all less than 40, I don't think so. But the mfc can aim for that sure. Read above Goose.
  6. Hopefully these two sides can hold out until we return....
  7. Mono I agree with your line of thinking in making a hard decision. Davey is 25, he averages a goal a game. Only an early to mid 1st round draft pick offer by an opposition club would be close to such a deal if the mfc saw the benefits of securing some draftee they had their eye on. So if the right offer came, I believe Bailey would take it..
  8. Maybe those involved with the website are on their end of season trip?? Or extended mad Monday....
  9. Ditto. ....we can only be honest Titan. It sends them a message that the G should remain OUR ground.
  10. Hawthorn and Dermott Brereton when he was at the club identified "hardness" and a bit of mongrel as a necessity several years ago. Hence Hodge was drafted, Lewis, the return of Croad, the recruiting of Brown and Guerra. Drafts are useful in identifying both class and hardness in my opinion. They do psychological tests to determine hard minded individuals.
  11. Nice comeback. Considering you want to trade a heap of melbourne players to aim for obtaining all picks under 40, I think you should take some of your own advice.
  12. Swab him. So, Man U have been dominated in each of the games he has reffed in. Just a coincidence.
  13. Bruce is at the same stage as Green. McDonald is getting on. The kids can hold the new players and the youth in high regard, the likes of Sylvia, Davey, Miller, Jones.
  14. Five out of Six Premierships is pretty good going. We lost 1958 after being White Hot favourites much like Geelong this year. Could well of been 6 in a row.
  15. Yeah, just watch mfc "part the sea" like Moses during trade week........ Better still let's aim for picks 1,5,11,14,17,19. Howzat! All under 20!! While we throw up possibilities...
  16. He is in Dee tention's team...
  17. Settle. ND wasn't there then. But CAC was, god love him. He signed Meesen before he waved goodbye.
  18. Jones, Davey & Sylvia will be the ones as listed by Ym that will field any offers from rival clubs that could raise any eyebrows. Or cause Melbfc to jump at. The likes of Rivers and Moloney represent risks with their respective injuries and rehabilitation.
  19. And yet ND spruiked for years about reconstructing the "spine"...
  20. I can't see us trading Wonna. Can you trade a rookie that has been promoted the same year? I'm not so sure. Would Freo take him and swap 21 for 35? I'm not so sure about that either. With respect to Carroll, I'd rather get pick 50 from Hawthorn in return for pick 67, not 51. They get a senior ready made defender- with 'some' grunt. We've gotta get some advantage between the picks. There is no real advantage between 50 and 51. In this case, we would get 50 and 51 to add to 1,17,19,35. In one of the deepest drafts of all time quality-wise.
  21. I'm hoping we win a flag before the Saints and Dogs,.....no one wants to be the team who has gone the longest without a flag (Right now the Dogs have the longest drought). Just ask the Swans...they are wrapped they won one after 73 years.
  22. We'll still have Bruce, McDonald, McLean, Miller , Wheatley to look up to.
  23. Very good stats deanox. Bar Shane Crawford, Stuart Dew. Hawthorn have alot more upside than Geelong IMO (can't believe I just said that because Geelong are awesome). Having said that, Geelong will be there next season. IMO Geelong need Tom Hawkins as their focal point in front of goals next season, which I'm sure Bomber will do. It will ensure more versatility. You're quite right, it should have been Geelong's this year. But, you have to perform on the day in the Grand Final to win it, regardless of what you have done the rest of the season. Those missed shots cost them and gave the Hawks the sniff they needed to go on and win after halftime.
  24. You need to lighten up. PS. It's "wrath"
  25. Nice. Word has it if Port Adelaide are successful in their 2016 Bid, the Filth (Collingwood) are contemplating on boycotting that Games on account of risking their Moccasins being stolen during the Games.
