  1. I think the improvement is there for all to see despite the 1 and 6 start. Also despite the injuries. Then again anyone could say, "well anything is an improvement on last year". I can see the players adapting to the tasks Bailey sets and can also see the improvement in strength and skills.

    Cale Morton

Yes he was good, on this occasion. He lifted his game in his home state. Lets hope he can bring this kind of game back to the G this Saturday.
  3. How StKilda are playing now is what I wish for Melbourne to play in a few years time. The intent and hunger to be first to the ball which is paramount, support for each teammate, the desire and determination to be the best defensively and to want to be able to score frequently and efficiently. To thrive and prosper at each and every contest. Rebound quickly using the centre corridor with pace and hit up targets in the F50. Most of all to win in the current fashion as is StKilda at present.
  4. John Worsfold type? But better.
  5. I thought it already was the latter.
  6. I'm just pleased it's not something like 6+ weeks.
  7. If Jamar is too much of a risk for this week even though available, Spencer should play.
  8. Yes I heard that interview. Although he did say they're getting closer to a deal with the AFL/MCC negotiations........that could mean 1-2 months time??
  9. Do a search on Rising Star Nominations.......look at least years threads.....I think in one of them lies your answer.
  10. A good write up. Interesting to read his opinion on Bruce in another side like Carlton.
  11. Wouldn't surprise me. I agree with his balance and poise when in possession.
  12. I was keen on Brock in the off season, I still think he's a chance. But as the season progresses I see Brent Moloney, Brad Green and even from left field Aaron Davey as possible candidates for the Captaincy. I'm not sure if Junior will retire at the end of this season.
  13. Has footy smarts, and can read the play well. Good kick on him too. Shows leadership qualities. Required player.
  14. I'm fine with the numbers.
  15. My thoughts too. Within the next few weeks.
  16. Don't you think the few extra weeks would be better for him after he has proven himself against West Coast at Subiaco at AFL level? I'm a little confused on what you mean (where I have highlighted your post). He was far from rushed into the side, if that is what you were getting at. He spent quite a few weeks at Casey in good form in the seniors. He is a 2nd year player. Bailey stated he wanted to give more chances to 2nd year players. I thought he showed alot against West Coast. Good poise. For him to kick that goal on the run from 50m in the last quarter, that's what we want and lack, players that will back theselves and kick truly.
  17. Occassionally I'd like to see them shoved a little, to get their nose out of joint.
  18. Not sure about 'worst post ever', he wins "tool of the week", surely. Agree with this.
  19. 31,484 was my estimated guess. Well documented. I hope we can knock off the Saints, a new scalp would be nice.
  20. Love the frustrations expressed here. I concur whole heartedly. The same discussions or should I say frustrations took place with me on the exact same topics. The boundary umpires.......why can't their throw-ins be called back? %$#@!
  21. Update: 11/5/2009: - 1. Hawthorn 51,449 2. Adelaide 48,720 3. West Coast 47,728 4. Collingwood 44,131 5. Carlton 40,734 6. Essendon 40,000 7. Richmond 36,248 8. Fremantle 36,000 (approx.) 9. Geelong 35,543 10. Melbourne 30,479 11. St Kilda 30,273 12. Western Bulldogs 29,317 13. North Melbourne 29,028 14. Port Adelaide 28,247 15. Sydney Swans 27,000 (approx.) 16. Brisbane 25,183 Updates: RED ALERT: St.Kilda has closed the gap to within 206 behind the Mighty Dees. Hawthorn just keep going through the roof in membership sales. Essendon announced Kevin Sheedy as member number 40,000 for Essendon. North Melb increased their total on the back of their crowd of 13,000 against Port..
  22. Homecoming Bitter Sweet
  23. Still on target for 31,484... :D
  24. It clashes Pello, according to the AFL. We looked good I thought. We will wear our traditional strip this week. The Bullies will in no doubt wear the all-white.
