  1. Thanks for your thoughts on Trengove. Noticed he's jumped all of the sudden from #6 to #5. Any thoughts or knowledge on Rohan & Coyler? Both caught my eye during the Championships. Coyler obviously later in the Champ's.
  2. Not really. Bartram In; Bell Out (inj.)
  3. Is that with "COLD wash" only?
  4. As did I. Without the risk of turning around this good thread of yours Jarka into another thread on the hot topic of late. It just gives more weight for the need to draft an elite midfielder. Still thinking of my 3, whilst watching the aussies chasing the leather at Lords. 1- Tingay - Sensational midfielder. One of my favourites cut down in his prime, tough & relentless, skillful. 2- Viney - Led by example, tough and uncompromising, made Team Of the Century . B&F/AA 3- TJ - Class, none were more clinical than TJ when on song. B&F. Match winner.
  5. Firstly, I agree with what Pates has said: - Secondly, you did say "very few of you", not "some". For the record, I never said "ALL", it was "majority" - there is a difference in each case. And yes, you are entitled to an opinion. Just because some posters/supporters vent their anger at some players, doesn't necessarily mean they don't go to the footy. If that is what you are assuming having read your reply. Pates, is right. I also tend to hear the same comments at the footy.
  6. Mate, you've been here 3 seconds, post away to your heart is content. But don't assume there is only a few of the posters on Demonland that attend games. Fwiw, the posters on this site, in the main, are 100% behind the club through hard times and good. I'd say the majority do get along to games going by what I've read. We're all, in our own way as passionate for the Melbfc as anyone can be passionate for their club, we all strive for the club to win the ultimate...a Premiership, just remember that.
  7. I believe it was Landon Donovan, USA's best.
  8. Do you have Bails stats KC ? I agree with the TV exposure on Abc. Its great.

    Game 200!

Bump. The players will be keen for a win here. Keep it clean and wish him well. Leave the sledging in the other thread. This is his tribute thread.
  10. Fantastic!! Dean Bailey is part of the Warlpiri family........awesome!
  11. Firstly, thankyou S_T for replying. I'm not sure why you don't see why it is relevant to obtaining a priority pick or not. Only you can answer that S_T. All I know is if we don't obtain the priority pick there is a more than better chance we won't get him. I certainly don't see myself building him up to be something he won't be either. Scully's footy will do all the talking. For a while now on all of these threads, there are many, many posts regarding the lack of leadership and quality players the club has. This kid has both characteristics in bucketloads. We've seen many posts regarding our lack of pace. He fits the mould nicely and he has super endurance. He's ready-made for AFL. He is what you would call "elite". When and who was the last "elite" player at Melbourne? One thing is getting lost it seems and is what should mend the bridge and prevent the divide it seems between the "win at all costs because we need a winning culture (pffft)" brigade and what 'they' call the "Pro-tankers" (which is a ridiculous notion and term). That is Tom Scully. If you haven't seen him, go see him play, do some research. This is what the priority pick is all about. Then, there is the added bonus of another quality pick. Whether that will be an "elite" pick is debatable. edit: Just saw your edit. I wouldn't blame anyone, knowing we most likely gave it a shot. But I'd be disappointed. I'd probably blame Port Adelaide for .................being Port Adelaide.
  12. Tanking is a shocking word and no one here wants the team not to try. It hasn't got anything with the players not trying. What is being mooted is the club or FD managing the list and positions with our young players and determining how they best fit into the team by trying them in different positions and looking at promoting players from Casey to determine whether or not they are part of the future. One question. Picking up on the theme of a previous question which I and a couple of others have asked. I'll ask it again. Have any of you guys seen T.Scully play live? That's all I ask.
  13. I for one, will be a really interested viewer for the Freo v WCE game.
  14. Re: The Pavlova, it's his calf. But Dr.Brukner's assessment earlier this week is he could be back this week. But I'm waiting for a mystery diagnosis/assessment where he has to go to SA for a week or so to investigate the mystery like Cox & Kerr of WCE.
  15. Actually, didn't he get Mark Of the Year?
  16. fair enough. The likes of Freo & WCE should come under massive scrutiny & heat as far as I'm concerned.
  17. 3-4 mintue Cab ride.
  18. Anyone with a bruise. I saw some on Bruce, McLean, Jurrah and Warnock.
  19. Agree. Yeah, I agree. Maybe I wasn't clear enough. I'm speaking in terms of in what will happen, not necessarily what has happened. Yes, the focus is on Melbourne because of winning it's last two. If the Demons lose big to the Cats, and Bailey makes changes, my point is that the changes shouldn't be recognised as forms of list management (or as others like to call it 'tanking'). Even though I can see how it would be interpreted, but with such a list? Incidentally, I think Fremantle has gotten off lightly and personally I'm p***ed off that there is all this talk regarding melbourne when Freo Shockers produce the most pathetic scoreline EVER in 1.7.13! If the Dockers want to be considered with an ounce of respect in the football world, they should have sacked Harvey by Monday just gone. PATHETIC! And the Press should have given it to them FRONT and BACK page of all papers!
  20. Big call Rojik, but I like it. I also have my fingers crossed for him. He is accurate, great kicking technique. Perhaps Newton should receive teaching from where the Warlpiri Wizard learnt. He might need some sunscreen though. 21. They may as well list Wonaeamirri as "season"
  22. If the Dees lose to the Cats - which if you asked Sportsbet, it's an absolute Monty (dees $9.00 for win); Bailey would have to make changes where those players haven't performed. That is only fair. The media should acknowledge that as reasonable, it's not 'tanking'. But that's when Mfc should begin to be prudent at selection. As far as I'm concerned. Cheney, McKenzie, Bail, Newton, Valenti, PJ & Bell should all be given there 'chances' to further their football careers by playing at AFL level.
  23. Indigenous players seem to bring another element to Aussie rules that other players don't have. Maybe it is the 'natural instinct' element. The Warlpiri Wizard certainly has this in bucket loads. Cannot wait until he's put on a little more muscle and been put through a pre-season. This kid is a star! He's story is legendary.
  24. Adelaide's demolition of Freo was the perfect tonic for Freo to take a significant dent in it's %. With regard to the 'tanking issue' which has surfaced within the media in the last 48 hours (most likely due to the Mfc's upset win over Port and the 'priority pick'). I believe more focus should be put on the likes of Freo, Rich & WCE. For the record, Melbournefc has won the last 2 games. If the media are sniffing around for tanking, it's certainly not the Mfc that's on the nose.....
  25. His digits (fingers) are remarkably long. I love the way he put s the mits out when taking a mark. It's vice like.
