  1. Fair call, thanks for the reminder on Whelan.
  2. I'd like to see McKenzie & Bail debut soon. (Most likely it will not be against Geelong due to the win, and you cannot make wholesale changes when a side is winning, unless there's injuries or match-up concerns). I think Cheney will be back in soon. Newton, Bartram & Miller can also be recalled for various reasons prior to seasons end. And if Buckley can get back in time (get over his injury first & foremost), he's another option.
  3. yeah I know. Just thought I'd stimulate the conversation, so we can remind all in sundry. By the way he's not 30 yet. It was a good disciplined game with very few errors. That is undisputed. There will always be someone to razz other posters.
  4. 6. Bruce 5. Jurrah 4. Moloney 3. Petterd 2. Warnock 1. Jamar
  5. Agree. I often wonder who has actually seen him play and who hasn't. I have a fair idea who hasn't.
  6. Bruce's best game of the season for Melbournefc. What are his B&F chances? Who are his critics Pello?
  7. Good enough for me. Keep feeding him those jumping beans RudeBoy. By god he's got a great leap - even off one step! He would have broken records at Draft Camp.
  8. Well, if they go by teams that win games, Jurrah should get the nod if it's out of those two.
  9. Agree with the feeling. Port Adelaide were both insipid and pathetic and do not deserve a finals berth based on what they have shown. Melbourne continued their good form courtesy of many of the younger players. In particular Jurrah, Jetta, Petterd. Rivers, Bruce and McLean were prominent and showed excellent touch. Did they try stuffing up the interchanges? It's gotta go. You're right. Good enough for a flag Y_M? Nice touch, but it makes me wonder mousey.... Is it official? Has he put pen to paper? I think with 2 wins in a row now, they've been reminded what a winning culture is all about now. C'mon boys, one more win!
  10. That was a soft free TBH. the 50m penalty was warranted though. Satisfying all the same.
  11. I agree on all fronts. In other news: Pavlich could be back this week from his 'calf' injury. Sometimes you gotta take the good with the bad.
  12. Yes i think so. Can Rich get his 2nd nomination? 32 disposals. Your turn Grimes .
  13. I would rather be on 3 wins come round 21 and beat Carlton to knock them out of the finals. In the same process inflict injuries on Judd CJ and Warnock that would hamper their pre season preparations for the 2010 season.
  14. I agree with CAC's theory on the 1st 6 best players reflecting the position on the ladder more or less. With respect to Carlton their stars are still young. What keeps me - not necessarily awake at night - but every waking hour thinking about what picks we'll get and if those picks will become stars of the future. Watts,Morton,Blease, Garland,Scully?,Grimes,...at the moment these names are our hope for best 6 and right now they are far from it. Other names I hope can make stars are Frawley, Jurrah & Martin.
  15. 20,500
  16. Didn't I say I don't dispute it 45? Apologies for not making the change. Will do it later tonight. Not possible of late. edit: - Now done. B)
  17. When is it the construction due for completion? early next year?
  18. They (Bennell & Cheney) both are young and have shown enough in the early stages of development to be secure on the list. By playing Dunn & Bell (list managing), the club can determine their future having played 45 & 63 games respectively. Read threads for confirmation.
  19. They might still be used, even though it suggests a dcesion has already been made.
  20. Cheers. What do you think of your new manager?
  21. Putting him on display for Port A.
  22. So did the likes of Jared Rivers & James McDonald.......? Just because they attended, doesn't necessarily mean they supported them as kids.
  23. On Watts, I reckon they will select him for Geelong down at Skilled next week.
  24. I think it will be either Dunn or Bartram. Leaning towards Dunn.
