  1. I agree Jarka. In fact I think they'll help each other by taking the pressure off each other. If you know what I mean...... Did that make sense? LOL.
  2. "The night of the long journey" - thanks WJ. A great write-up.
  3. Maybe true. But our form earlier in the year with honourable losses also meant we were getting better. Winning against the likes of the Eagles and the Power (on/off again) is debatable. Everyone says we'll easily account for Freo. They're probably going on Freo's track record away and the fact they're now on the bottom. Although I disagree - we're no shoo-in to win that game. It's 15th v 16th. And if Freo play like they did against Brisbane, they're a chance to win. Note: (Sandilands is due to come back in). edit: - Just learnt about Tarrant's injury. Yeah, I favour Melbourne to win now. Agree. Good post. I agree and feel the same. But with regard to your last sentence, in order to build a premiership quality list you sometimes need a few quality players (and leaders). Therefore, in your last sentence of the previous paragraph........that would then make sense. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, Jurrah is definitely an excellent catch. We deserve him. Our priority pick was before the second round last year. It's been well documented - had Carlton beaten us in 2007 Rd22, we might have Watts, Naitanui & Jurrah. Agree. Good post.
  4. Late draft prospect. Joe Halloran was overlooked for Vic Metro. Plays KP for Jets who as a team are struggling. Regarded as Jets best player. Was named best on weekend against loss to Gold Coast. Some within Jets camp are bewildered he missed the Vic Metro team. But not surprised as Jets players sometimes overlooked. Worth a look at for recruiters before U18 comp finishes. edit: Has anyone seen him play?
  5. Yes it was clearly visible that he liked the rough and tough side of things at his debut. Not sure how this could of gone unnoticed at his debut..... . He has the best weighted passes by foot in the side already.
  6. I found nothing wrong with the sound of her voice in her commentary. What I did find was that her commentary was not in sinc with the play, and her failure to identify players of both sides - in particular names - was absolutely pathetic. Failing to call 2-3 possessions during movement of the ball quite a number of times is frowned upon from even amateur viewers let alone regular fans of AFL. Huddo would of been cringing when he was asked about the amount of cats players in his dreamteam. Quite amusing.
  7. Rpfc fremantle have another chance of a win. Its actually against Melbourne. Whilst not alot would agree, theyre definitely a chance anyway.
  8. Not a bad option. Like you say you never know. The Gold Coast would certainly be looking at him. He is a proven big man up forward.
  9. Once again absolute tripe. Those games were well supported and were enough form for promotion. Newton was that far from it, it wasn't funny. Once again your posts are true to form. By the way where have you been? Away on vacation with Y_M?
  10. Unfortunately you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. When he says that he forgets that there will still be 30000+ members in 4-5 years when he will no longer be playing. So in a way it does come across as somewhat selfish.
  11. Outs: Robertson, Warnock, Jones, Grimes, Jurrah. Ins: Miller, Newton, Cheney, Bail, Whelan.
  12. Good thread. Not sure what all the commotion is about. Ling did a job on McLean and Robbo was on the AA fullback. Bruce and Green battled away and yeah their games weren't scintillating by any stretch. However I give alot of credit to a magnificent side in Geelong that won by 46 points. Disappointing for Bailey and I think we can envisage several changes to the side for next week against Sydney. WYL - yes we do need speedy midfielders for draft picks hence all the discussion of late. Nicho is right.
  13. 6 Moloney 5 Grimes 4 Bennell 3 Morton 2 Bartram 1 Jurrah.
  14. That was the thing that stood out for me. It had nothing to do with her voice, it was the sheer lack of footballers names she failed to identify during the call. If Kelli gets this right she will be ok.
  15. Good post rpfc.
  16. Yes and he conveniently missed due to Carlton list managing in 2007. He was sent for operation which he also mentioned with a smirk on his face on TFS. Obviously another sign of the truth.
  17. I'd rather it increase our chances talent wise, than have no PP at all. Sure no guarantee to success, but widely regarded as a better chance with two picks than one.
  18. All good points...... Listen to the response: - *sound of crickets*
  19. I agree. Thought he might have been telling a bit of a porky last night.
  20. Seem we have the same boxed trifecta at least. Although you went for the field for third.
  21. Correct. Will have a few years left perhaps, Bruce. Can still finish his career winning games and perhaps even finals.
  22. Cheers. I'm of the same opinion of Coyler being small and lightning quick. Can work on his kicking and can be very damaging. Definitely knows how to find it. Good in the stoppages from what I've seen. I was thinking late 1st round, early second round. Think he may come into contention for our second round pick.
  23. I for one, will never forget that fuschia. If it wasn't for the unfortunate incident to the late Hookesy, Dwayne Pipe wouldn't be where he is right now and we wouldn't hear the tripe coming from his backside.
  24. Mumford's ok. Better than Blake according to alot of Cats scribes.
