  1. for those who like pythonesque humour try out pommy show "big train" there are lots of episodes on youtube here's one to begin with (warning: quite tasteless) apologies if this is old news
  2. i don't think hawthorn supporters had much trouble getting a good match day experience when it all boils down, 9 out of the top 10 reasons for a good match day experience are one if you rely on repetitive group chanting and free clappers then the obvious is sadly missing
  3. no mention of windy hill!
  4. it'd sad how the media continually use (and fawn over) people like hardie just because he is controversial and outspoken
  5. bbo, as a subsidising tax payer it excites me to think of my small contribution to romsey and the lad's welfare. keep it up but remember my largesse doesn't extend to biffo's visits
  6. so bbo, you must be an absentee farmer then or do your infrequent teaching hours and extensive holidays allow for a bit of hobby farming supervision now and then must be a great tax deductible and all that discounted diesel to get to school
  7. I was unaware that support staff could not be prosecuted prior to 2015 i understood that previously doctors and trainers and instigators had been prosecuted. Surely Hird would qualify as a "trainer" being head coach and presumably an instigator Can you elaborate more on this...................very interesting, as i had always presumed hird could be prosecuted ultimately
  8. have you tried google, wb?
  9. well he has been found "guilty" of poor governance only so far i believe if asada's charges against the players are upheld then asada will proceed against him (and others) with charges related to organising use of performance drugs then if these are upheld and he receives a ban essendon have a good chance of terminating his contract without compensation of course he will probably try and fight it but he will be on shaky ground this will obviously take a good part of this year and by that time the board of essendon may very well look quite different he may also be offered under counter inducements by non club people to go somewhat quietly ulimately (but not now) i think the time will come when he can be sacked without a king's ransom.......but the damage elsewhere will be extensive and expensive to think..... essendon could have cut their losses a long time ago and be putting it well behind them. now.........
  10. bbo doesn't have dreams, moonie. he just has nightmares.
  11. i'll reserve my judgement as to whether certain players have become good or ok kickers when i seen it demonstrated consistently in real match conditions that is all that counts effective disposal % stats are a crock of shyte
  12. yes, her legal advice has been top shelf so far, od
  13. we are not talking about a mere mortal here doc and it is doubtful whether the term "professional sports club" describes essendung
  14. "patrick smith opinion time to move on james hird" should come up on ipad at top of browser when you click link but i know it is difficult to manipulate text on a tablet
  15. liked the vibrancy bit (bbo special) the last bit lost me though
  16. you'll get no argument from ch7 and foxtel
  17. cut out the heading text and paste it into google this should get you past the paywall.....worked for me
  18. it was my understanding that hirds claim of 'just doing what he was instructed to do and at times it was under threat and duress' was in reference to what happened AFTER essendon self reported NOT in reference to the period of pharmacolocal experimentation big difference
  19. if you believe in that nut then you have learnt nothing from history or the inherent nature of mankind in fact if things do get worse on the climate side i'd expect the opposite to be true the solution (if one) lies elsewhere and is not necessarily pleasant (but may be) pleasant dreams
  20. couldn't be.....could it?
  21. Ch 9 also interviewed some Essendon supporter on the steps outside the court. Said that she had been to every day of the appeal (poor soul). Bemoaned the injustice of it all. Said the players, the club and Hird had done nothing wrong and were innocent. After watching every day in court she obviously didn't realise the proceedings had nothing to do with whether the players, the club or Hird had done anything wrong. Sad really.
  22. on channel 9 news hird's lawyers said they are considering a high court appeal when asked if they had spoken to their client they said no
  23. how about a patchwork quilt of all the demonland avatars
