  1. i've already heard one sports journalist blame his demise on the "unfair" accusations of the bummers supplements "persecution" (words to that effect) expect a lot of the "industry" to rally around and make sympathetic excuses for him gil will continue to flummox and make babbling sounds should be lots of opportunity for the sports journos to endlessly dissect it for months....without really saying anything more popcorn time
  2. sorry about the binman tag, p-man (and binman) probably right about being a bit late, i was reading an article on fritzl just a few days ago and i guess the gorge was still sticking strong in my throat
  3. not sure fritzel is a good nickname, binman google a certain austrian pos named fritzl
  4. and andrews was so impressed by the ghan teledoco that he wants to call the proposed train service to the airport "the dhan"
  5. i believe "ghan - the musical" is already in rehearsal and lego are working on a set of ghan models
  6. he's a football club moll
  7. think there is cheaper options for reserved seats. I've got 11 game + reserved sets and iirc I payed about $50 extra for the seats. They are in the open in the northern stand (richmond side) and right next to the members (M50) i'm close to the wing. I asked for the rearmost seats so i'm just at the boundary of the undercover ones, so if it rains i can quickly move back a couple of rows as there is always spares.
  8. will we make 40k by 2:10 on saturday? 39,402
  9. think there is a game of semantics being played out here, lucy all about what "approved" means afl are saying not approved as in recommended but approved as in allowed or nothing to stop it company is trying to treat approved as meaning afl sanctioned
  10. oh ffs.......there is a whole separate forum called the general forum for political proselytising......use it
  11. errr......wrong forum
  12. but the point specifically for wines was that he was essentially ready and was "low maintenance" re development......same as vineyl wines would have been a star wherever he went
  13. ummmm...... he was developed by draft day......a walk up starter
  14. not from leighoak, that ends this july and i suspect most of our gambling revenue comes from leighoak not bentleigh. but that's only my guess
  15. no decent profits in selling smokes, wyl
  16. are you describing capitalism, binman?
  17. some truth in that. i remember decades ago they tried to get sports betting up and it was a real failure. i think the internet, graphics, technology and smart phones have played a big part not only making it more available and immediate but adding a lot of "glamour" to it
  18. is there gaming entitlements at the leighoak venue like there are at the bentleigh club? if so, what % of gaming do we lose this July with the sale of leighoak?
  19. without a doubt, jim. and it's easier to bet as you don't even have to go to a venue. just need a smart phone and we know how ubiquitous they are
  20. that's true dof, but it doesn't mean there will be less gaming machines out there. the same number of lives and families will be wrecked. the licences will just end up owned by someone else all it means is that the mfc won't be playing a part in it nor profiting from it
  21. now that went out the window quite a few years ago, od, or weren't you paying attention?
