  1. ......and a plastic undersheet.......
  2. maybe we should blame the clash strip? wyl always said white was the colour of surrender.....hmmmm
  3. thats what he said, resign=re-sign
  4. there's something going on here we aren't being told or we aren't privy to. Maybe some posters have guessed it in their posts but I'm not sure next few weeks/months are going to be "interesting" off the field
  5. getting a bit semantic there Stylus.....I think you got his drift
  6. interesting. A few weeks earlier I said in a pm to someone "the tribe is very restless". I certainly "felt" it and it wasn't the usual up and down.
  7. I stopped reading the clubs player reviews a long time ago I got nothing out of them (even trying to read between the lines) and they just frustrated me If you want good player reviews then come to Demonland, but you will have to filter them first to remove the MFCSS and MFCFS ones
  8. wyl, i think it started well before last Thursday you could say it reached a crescendo though sometime during the 1stQ last Thursday
  9. well its not clear or obvious (as another poster said) to me all thats clear is he is not playing well its possible he is playing injured but not clear or obvious its more likely he is not fully fit after an incomplete preseason there again as most of the team are insipid it might be something in the water at aami?
  10. sounds like a horse race. I'll take $20 on the nose for Supporter Patience and $20 a place for Melbourne Pride good odds on the Trifecta too
  11. and Essendon.......? see I can cherry pick too.....proves nothing
  12. maybe not fantasy, but if you look hard enough you will always find some fact or statistic to back up your point of view. Its called rationalisation. Fact remains we have been [censored] all year and we are down in just too many areas Its not too late to turn it around but the clock is certainly ticking
  13. Trouble is this is 3 fwds out, 3 fwds in. This is not addressing our problems when the ball doesn't even get into the fwd line
  14. Sounds like work would be a lot more fun without customers, eh?
  15. I'd be very tempted to make it no change, draw a line in the sand for the players and inform that that every one of them is on notice and if there is no turnaround, changes will be swift and brutal. I could certainly find plenty of players who deserve to be dropped this week. Problem is there are just too many of them. Making an example of some but not others might send the wrong message One game - shape up or be shipped out failing that approach In: Bate, possibly Petterd Out: Dunn, Morton
  16. not suggesting that he is alone on this, more that he as head coach should assert himself across the FD and demand more say and control over the assistant coaches, trainers etc. Malthouse and more recently Heard demanded this. Now I don't know how much control DB has at the moment. If a lot then he is to blame. If not then he has been weak in not asking and insisting on it and letting himself be in a vulnerable position.
  17. yes I've heard that and more what worries me though is that it is a risky strategy and could blow up in their faces
  18. BTW anyone see the picture of Flash in the Hun? If thats a darker red I'll go he. Certainly looks pink to me And while we are talking strips why did we have to wear a clash strip against the eagles? BTS out of me.
  19. I'll be there, but then I've been a masochist for 45 years Watching the Aints/Crows game, the Aints played a zoning game for the first half and got smashed. In the 2nd half they went man-on-man (they HAVE a planB) and with more accurate goal kicking and a little luck could have pulled it off. Sadly I expect melbourne to zone off as usual let the ball into the half backline like a Crows training drill and get smashed in the 1st Q. I can't see Bails having the guts to change his game plan and give the kids a chance to show some intensity, courage and close-up contesting. I hope I am wrong (sincerely). Definitely a time for line-in-the-sand but it won't happen if we play wide of the Crows
  20. there hast to be be something wrong with the water at aami with all the improved facilities over the Junction we couldn't possibly go backwards so badly we should get the water checked post haste
