  1. Which would Suggest categorically that he isn't, which is good because why the F would we want him.
  2. Have Carlton left him out because of the added incentive it would give us to roll them? Personally I'm disappointed. I had been rolling out some beautiful "booing" practice this week.
  3. Does he bring a stool!!
  4. Can't see the point in playing Macdonald ahead of Strauss or Cheney
  5. The Boss = Immature Clown with little of any relevance or substance to say. Would fit better as a collingwood supporter.
  6. Quite a few around here need to have a crack at "Living in the moment" The past is done and the future hasn't happened. Try the present, it's quite refreshing. Apologies for sounding like some meditation master - I too am a work in progress
  7. I think we might find that both will start their careers classed as rookies and won't be part of the salary cap. I could be wrong but I remember reading something to this effect when Hunt signed with GC. Both clubs will be targeting our best players over the next few years.
  8. So are you saying that although he isn't good enough you'd still like him in the side? Now that is strange. As for our drafting in the 8 years from 97 to 2005 we failed to pick up 1 elite player and probably only 2 really good players in Green and Davey. Honourable mentions also to McDonald, Sylvia, Bate and Jamar. Had GC and GWS been in the last 3 drafts we may have never seen our club win another game! Part of the greatness of a leader is the Legacy he leaves. I wonder if HSOG is still reading this forum
  9. Petterd will play for MFC next year and beyond. Note: I have no source other than my intuition.
  10. Dudes, is this thread for real. It's called having fun. Singing the team song after you've played a team that didn't even play 2 of it's best and is clearly buggered isn't likely to send shivers up your spine. Relax, nothing to see here. As for slagging off James Kelly, let it go, he's a damn fine competitor and a stand up bloke.
  11. Dude, they're hatched already!! As for Jones, 50 50 bet I reckon. If he stays fit and continues his improvement he's a chance.
  12. Just as Brown became the new Black and 40 became the new 30, so has carlton become the new collingwood. Never have I disliked a team as much as I dislike Carlton. AFL sanctioned cheats, poker machines "given" to them, Judd, Mclean, Johnson, Mitch Robinson, need I go on. You know what though, whatever happens this Saturday, They know we're coming and we're much better cooks!!
  13. Out: Rivers, Garland (inj), MacDonald, ? In: Bate, Scully, Trengove, Bail/Mckenzie(whoever plays best tomorrow)
  14. Just as the Cats need Ablett and Selwood. Players of that quality are always going to be missed. I hope they show Judd and Gibbs a few new tricks.
  15. Fair effort against the league's best. Starting to wonder what it will be like once Watts has played 50 games and finds himself alongside Bate, Petterd and Jurrah. Good times ahead. Great watching Gysberts show no fear of the contest and playing out the game full of run. Morton and Wonaeamirri need another month of football. A dark day for Rivers and I'll be expecting a hunting party after this on here and another forum. Thought Frawley was great on Johnson. Darwin sure is Hot!
  16. Fair point, I was having a waffle. Playing the game prior to the Mid season break will probably make to much sense for the AFL but you can only hope. Games such as this are going to be necessary for this club for the foreseeable future. Playing Port at the MCG in front of 25,000 just won't cut it, of course you already know this!
  17. UMM, let's see? Smallest supporter base in the league, Lowest Auskick Numbers in the league, Oldest membership in the league. 2 new clubs to compete for the dollar with. That should do it - Off to Darwin we go!!!
  18. Absolutely worth it. This club needs to extend it's reach and the fact that it is doing it with sincerity, thanks to Jimmy, makes it all the more beneficial. This club has taken some truly giant steps over the past few years. Without being privy to the inner workings of the club I'd suggest those in charge are building a club based on truly positive values. You only have to look at what is happening at Hawthorn to know that eventually when your club is run by people like Kennett, Clarkson and co the fabric breaks down and chaos follows. (I know they pinched a premiership but we'll win more than 1 in the coming years}
  19. Not hard. Just pay Davey, Sylvia, Bate, Green, Bruce, Moloney, Grimes most of their contract this year and you'd go very close to 100%. It is my belief this is exactly what we are doing although I'm not sure which of the players we are doing it with. However the only real way to keep the players is to build a club where loyalty, integrity and team success is more important than money. GC and GWS have warchests that they WILL spend and we have some serious talent. In all likelihood they will make a play for one or more of our players. Sheedy would love to pinch some of our talent. Personally I'd rather play for Collingwood than some souless entity extracted from the anus of the AFL Commission, but that's me. If one of our players does leave I'll Boo him until my throat hurts.
  20. Wow, that's a really, really poor decision. Chrystal Meth use on the rise amongst tribunal.
  21. If Bate, Bruce and Warnock are all fit they will all play. Gysberts didn't have a game this weekend I believe so he's unlucky, same goes for Bail who deserves another game and just might get one this weekend. Outs are hard, MacDonald can go, after that form would suggest Wonaeamirri but it will depend how well he pulls up, the club will be very keen to get games into him. There is going to be some tired players so maybe one of Scully or Mckenzie will be rested. Moloney won't get suspended as he didn't appear to make any head contact. Garland needs to be given time at this level as he is part of our future. Those suggesting Morton should be dropped clearly don't understand where our club is going and who it's going there with. As for Jetta, he's probably already in Geelong!
  22. More politely put but I'm with Enforcer. List Clogger, almost already. I'd prefer to see Strauss playing in his role.
