  1. Scully will become the premier midfielder in the league in the next 5 or 6 years. Trengove will become one of the best midfielders in the league in 3 to 4 years.
  2. I'd hardly call Miller, Dunn, Bell, Spencer or Bartram "athletes" They are limited footballers, that is all. As for supporters seeing thuings that coaches don't, you are kidding aren't you.
  3. Whether Watts "looks" fast to you or not, the fact is he is fast.
  4. Hughes will be delisted at year's end.
  5. Gysberts stiff. However the club wants to stake a claim for supporters in Darwin. Wonaeamirri, underdone or not will be a drawcard at this game, similar to Watts and QB 2009. The club needs to grow so such decisions will be made until we're really ready to rumble. I hope Jetta also plays, love to see all the indigenous guys together with Liam and family in the stands. Looking forward to watching this Saturday.
  6. I'm not confused these are just the 'experts' I was referring too.
  7. As I said before I'll trust in the FD. For starters just because some poster says the FD are looking at player x, y or z does not mean we have any intention of making a play for them. It's called doing the job of a recruiter. Looking at players that play in a position that the FD identifies as required.
  8. If I remember correctly Frawley was once a rotten banana, as was Garland. I'll trust in the FD on this one.
  9. No team should wear a clash jumper and the umpires should wear a red shirt and black shorts with red socks
  10. I'm calling it now. Natanui will go down in history as the most over rated athelete in AFL history. Watts on the other hand will likely win a Norm Smith Medal. If Natanui was a freckly white boy he wouldh've been a second round pick at best. (No offence intended to freckly white boys, including myself)
  11. The thing that really surprised me at the North V Melb game was the total lack of noise from their supporters considering they played well that day.
  12. Sorry if I'm setting the bar to high but what's required of him is to take part in 3-5 winning premierships over his career, a couple of Coleman Medals, a Brownlow or 2, a Keith Truscott Medal, a Norm Smith Medal and also a stable relationship with a beautiful and intelligent women. He won't be able to achieve this tomorrow which is unfortunate.
  13. I have no interest in accepting that the club will lose talented players to the GWS or GC. FFS we have been the laughing stock for that long I think I even started laughing. We have recently collected a most impressive list of players with which to hammer the competition with for the next decade. Great teams don't lose players of the standard of Petterd. He's a player that will throw himself at any contest, has a beautiful set of hands and can kick a clutch goal from 50metres, he's also in our best 22. That makes him a required player and thus the club needs to label him untouchable. Tell GWS and GC we have a list of players that we will entertain you with the rest our ours so bugger off!
  14. Nor do they have the added bonus of being one of the best young players on the country. Oh and our backline is pretty solid.
  15. In the past I've been kind to Dunn and hoped he would make his mark as a player in the team. I reckon he's been ok this year but with the players lining up at the door he'll be the first casualty. Watts, Morton, Gysberts, Jetta are all banging hard on the door of selection. That's 4 spots we've got to find. Hughes will have to play his pants off to stay in. Would of loved seeing Petterd play a whole year. Others who will be playing at Casey are harder to find. I think the team is in great shape so early on in it's development.
  16. Had Bennell gone the contest amongst other things (probable injuries) it would of been a free kick for in the back - hardly great stuff when the game is in the balance. In fact it's that kind of football that we watch hawthorn players get suspended for most weeks. It's not courageous it's gutless and is inspired by men such as Clarkson, Kennett and co. No the title is incorrect. It wasn't a contest. The Dogs player was there first and had the ball somewhat in his control. Bennell had no chance to "contest" the ball within the rules or the spirit of the game. He did the smartest thing possible which was to jump over the Dogs player at pace. The argument is over. You need to watch the vision again and explain to us how he was to "contest" the ball within the rules and spirit of the game. My other suggestion is you barrack for hawthorn.
  17. I often yell out Go Redlegs!! at the footy. However I would never ever advocate becoming the Redlegs. Checker Hughes bought in the Demon and Jimmy bought back the Demon. You do the math!!
  18. I know I've said it before but Scully, Grimes, Trengove, Watts, Jurrah, Morton......and so on.....Holy shite Batman!!!
  19. Watching Blease play you'd suggest he has more talent in his index finger than King. Strange comparison really. 2 totally different players. one a pacy grunt, the other a sleek, pacy, super skilled young Demon!!
  20. It was a super quick and correct decision. I applaud him for that, others bag him, horses for courses I guess. If he had dropped into that contest it would have most likely have been his knees riding into the back. Probable result, 1 injured Bulldog, 1 Suspended and probably injured Bennell. There's actually no need to play football like Hawthorn to win Premierships.
  21. Is his leg still sore. What was the problem on Saturday? Will he be playing this weekend?
  22. Does that mean football is redundant?
  23. Does anyone know what happened to him on Saturday. He really excites me this kid, hope it wasn't bad.
