  1. If Scully wasn't the BOG then I'm not a Demons Fan. I read all the papers, watched all the reports, saw his game with my own eyes. Not BOG? You must be kidding. The term "Country Mile" even comes to mind. When it comes to Brownlow Votes even Friday nights umpires will get it right.
  2. All fixed. I knew we were playing Sat, I read Sat forecast, I wrote Sunday, go figure!
  3. Forecast for Saturday, Sunny, light winds. They're going to be tempted. Personally I think he'll play casey this week and MFC next week as Casey have the bye.
  4. I know and to think Carlton recruited Mitch Robinson.
  5. I was as [censored] as the next person but that fact remains there was another battle for the ball after Bartram did that, we lost it and Lake kicked a point, not a goal. Bartram then had the chance to clear the ball in the Doggies forward pocket, he overan it and Griffen swooped, game over. Who lost us the match, no one, The Doggies won it because they didn't shite themselves like a few of ours did at the end. Again, Blaming the umpires is what losers do. Do you reckon Tom Scully is bitching about the umpires. No chance he's kicked himself for his 8 clangers and moved on.
  6. Get over it people. We lost because the Bulldoga were able to go a little extra in the last 5 minutes. Had we not made some crucial errors at crucial times we would have won that game. Blaming someone else is what losers do. Time to move on.
  7. Just say we were to make the eight at year's end. Barring a bad run with injuries we could well cause a few headaches. Think Friday night's team plus Watts, Morton, Wonaeamirri and Jurrah, possible even Jetta and Gysberts if they keep up their improving form. I'll tell you one thing folks, we're going to be a very, very, very good side sooner rather than later.
  8. It's Fev. If Warnock hit Brown his fist would shatter
  9. Daniher's last game against essendon summed up his coaching career perfectly. The club is different now, very different. There's a real sense that there's no way the team or the club was satisfied with Friday night. Most of us supporters can of course walk away satisfied, hell we played well and gave our all....but losing is now a big but, if that makes sense.
  10. Satisfaction must only return to this club when it holds a Premiership Cup, even then I think they should be looking at more than 1. Forget the bounce over Warnock's head Bartram should have sent that ball to the boundary line. Never blame the umpires.(Although feel free to [censored] and moan as they were ordinary again on Friday) Games are won and lost by the players. How about our 6 straight behinds in the opening quarter. Or Grimes string of clangers. It's fine for us supporters to be somewhat satisfied by Friday's performance, I know I was. But do you think the players should be satisfied? Do you think Tom Scully would be satisfied. I mean one less clanger may have been enough for us to win that game. It's harsh I know but that's the environment we're competing in. Winning is all there is.
  11. Tom Scully is one of those guys that will never be satisfied. That's why he will become the yardstick for the competition. I'm off to pinch myself as he actually plays for Us.
  12. We're a developing side. Finally we only have one aim in mind... A Premiership. As part of the development the team needs to learn that near enough isn't good enough. On Friday we can talk all about the umpires, the colours and even the rain. The fact remains that the Doggies won the game because they were able to find that little extra when it really mattered. Our young players got to see that first hand, they also got to experience (again) what it feels like to let one slip. We've got plenty more wins than losses to come. Losses like these teach players so much. They also pour a little more petrol on the fire in the belly. If I was West Coast I'd be bringing my absolute A game to the G next Saturday.
  13. In the longer term losing on Friday will be far better for us than had we won.
  14. Tell that to Micheal Voss and Gary Lyon.
  15. Gawn's built like a rake. He's 2 years away at least
  16. At some point during 2010. INS: Watts, Gysberts, Jetta, Morton, Bail, Jurrah, Wonaeamirri, Strauss, Maric, Blease, Spencer. That's going to make for some interesting selection nights.
  17. I'm not a big wrap for Johnson either. However Martin is going to need time and some serious application if he is going to fulfil what many see as his "potential". Time at Casey won't hurt.
  18. We have no bigmen, I suggest you get used to it
  19. I noticed we were upto 10 pages so I clicked on thinking someone had posted insightful, interesting and worth the wait information on our super talented tadpole. Alas, just more of the same. I reckon everyone should take a moment to think before they type and see if we can't just write stuff that's useful and interesting to the forum. Of course we can all revert to just typing away whatever comes to our minds a bit like I'm doing now.
  20. Are you sure? Maybe it's having never done an AFL preseason, weighing about the same as a tadpole yet being 197 cm tall. He doesn't need to physically impose himself at the moment. He needs to be patient with his body as much as the FD does and the supporters. Exactly what is the point in ramming a tall thin frame into packs before it's strong enough. Please don't mention Morton either, he has a completely different frame. Morton will always be lean that's his body type. Watts on the other hand with the right management and training/playing loads will end up a big unit much like the CHF missing from the St.Kilda lineup at the moment. Relax, everything is fine!!
