  1. Daniher picking for needs again, luckily it worked out.
  2. Sounds like they are training the house down Haydo
  3. If he's not going to put in 100% whilst at Collingwood and potentially be part of a Premiership why the fark would you want to recruit him. The stupidity of that post is beyond belief.
  4. Anthony was never seriously on our radar. He's a Dud and our FD know that.
  5. Pretty much spot on. Why on earth would we start recruiting good ordinary footballers. We already have the likes of Bartram, Dunn, Warnock, Jones, Macdonald, Spencer and possibly Strauss, Maric and Jetta to fight for the remaining spots in our best 22. We still need to recruit the best available. In my dreams Tom Lynch slides to 12, otherwise Darling or Lycett for mine but I have little idea about the midfielders/flankers who may be around when we have our picks. I doubt the club will even look at Eddy or Anthony for that matter. Thorp remains the smoky for mine and next week we'll have some of the answers. People forget Martin whom I still believe has a role to play next year.
  6. The Unfortunates! How were they unfortunate? Both White and Robbo were well past their best. In fact White's career was on a fast dounward slide once the centre circle was installed. Robbo was old, had no inclination for the second effort which really needed to be good considering how average his first efforts had become. Junior was 34 years old for Christ's sake, done and dusted. Nothing unfortunate in fact all were fortunate to have played for so long. The fact that White and Robbo put their hand up to play on and 15 coaches agreed with ours is surely enough proof in itself. A ruckmen, dude White was finished. A key forward, Robbo! surely you jest. Can you see the future? How do you know the club will need a tackling midfielder next year. Seen Jordie Mckenzie play, not to mention Sylvia, Scully and Trengove all of whom are handy on the tackle. As for Neitz, he played a season too long, proved by his inability to make it through. What has prompted the Whatever it takes policy is we haven't won a freaking flag for nigh on 50 years. In that time we've settled for mediocrity and now, when finally the club is showing some steel, people bemoan how we treat our older players. If they can't see the sign then someone has to show them. Remember there's only one reason to play AFL. I'll let you work it out. Go Demons, Unleash Hell!
  7. You would really hope so
  8. Morton, Wonaeamirri, Bail, Jetta, Trengove
  9. The Casey coach will be happy to have a good forward with Miller leaving.
  10. Our club must post profits as we need to keep increasing our investment dollars into not only the players physical environments, but their coaching staff, their access to the latest training techniques, adequate rehab and so on we go. We are still a minow and thus at a considerable disadvantage to the bigger clubs. 40,000 members is a must as is sustained success. We walk a fine line.
  11. No to Neagle No to Anthony No to Thorp. Personally I think the club will gamble on Thorp. He has the pedigree if not much else. I hope they keep a very tight leash on him.
  12. Tell her she needs a new boyfriend.
  13. He also regularly left the hard ball for others. Sure he had his attributes but the club is marking its ground and I for one am loving it.
  14. Leadership Group 2011 Moloney, Green[C], Davey[VC], Frawley, Grimes, Rivers, Scully
  15. You know what all those players have in common. None of them have a Premiership Medallion. Well played MFC. When you play a hard sport you need to play hard.
  16. I'm passionate but that doesn't lead me to inaccuracies of the type you type. McDonald was a hamstring shy of becoming a liability and Bruce wanted the club to pay more than his worth. With GC and GWS in the club needs to keep balancing the books oh so carefully. Our TPP could become the biggest threat to our desire of multiple premierships. Oh and another thing you don't judge success on being the 3rd most finals bound team for a decade you judge it on Premierships, and we have none over the last decade. The Bruce, White, Yze era was another in a long line of failed attempts to drag this club beyond mediocrity. I'll tell you one of the reasons we didn't win a Premiership with those 3, they're all soft as jello. I advise you to harden up like the club is finally doing.
  17. If them leaving means Gysberts, Blease, Strauss and Tapscott all get good game time then that outweighs finals in 2011. Personally I think we're a monty to play finals next year and the inclusion of the 4 players I mention make this no less likely than having Junior injured and Bruce leaving the hard ball for others.
  18. I was going to reply but I can tell that talking sense to you is going to be a waste of my time. Just one thing though, On David Hale, we refused to pay over the odds for a 27 year old player of questionable talent and somehow that's a failure!
  19. Erm.... no it would be correct. I said "imagine" meaning in my imagination he resigned. In reality he didn't, 2 different things.
  20. Scully, Trengove, Watts, Jurrah, Grimes, Frawley, Davey, Green, Jamar. Make it 9 players.
  21. The McDonald decision was a good one, that hasn't changed.
  22. The club continues to make the right decisions. You can't expect the players to be tough if the clubs weak.
  23. Unable to improve on this answer.
  24. How many real toosers have you met that ended up good blokes 2 or 3 years later? Zero in my case. Becoming a decent bloke takes much longer than that. Let Richmond draft him.
