  1. I dare you to refute any of my points with facts.
  2. They were taking the [censored] out of your ridiculous assertion that it would be good if North folded. If our club can only survive on the back of others failures then our club is also failing. Guess which club has the the lowest Auskick numbers in the league, survives on AFL handouts and would be 4 million in debt if it wasn't for a small handful of wealthy supporters. I'll give you a clue. It isn't North Melbourne.
  3. Not really, Scully's clearly an exceptional talent with an exceptional work ethic. Not hard to praise him and then move on. It's about protecting one of your own which Scully is.
  4. You certainly got your 2c worth. With regard to retaining Tom the club needs a wealthy member to offer him what I call a "Judd" job. That being a highly paid position that involves a couple of photo shoots a year and a tidy pay cheque. Couple that with the $400,000 the club will pay him and that should ward off any suitors. I'm guessing the club's onto this as we speak.
  5. It's a pity as the new pink one looks so good.
  6. By checking into Rehab. Done. The club showed no leadership at all. Brisbane's only motive in recruiting Fevola was his ability to kick goals and hopefully play a part in Voss's ridiculous attempt to squeeze out one more Premiership for the club and his aging friends. To think otherwise is fanciful. Fevola himself says he is shattered by the sacking so this gives me a fair idea of the impact on him. Depression has no limits as the high suicide rates prove. Don't even suggest that he can't go further down the path, he's only just beginning.
  7. Have to agree. Fev's a mess. He's not alone on that front. If the club and the AFL were going to show some real leadership on such problems they would put him on the long term injury list and help him rebuild his shattered life. Depression's a serious illness and sacking him is only going to push him further down the wrong path.
  8. Wow, just wow. That post is an absolute doozy!
  9. He's not that good. I actually agree that the HBF role is too important to have a limited player such as Joel. Can't see him playing much footy beyond this year.
  10. It's the people who stick the boots in who have the inferiority complex but I doubt you'd be "big' enough to admit to that. The fact remains that we too rely on handouts and have a low membership compared to the big clubs. They'd be the facts I talk of.
  11. He "gifts" us the gate receipts because he can. His club continually receives the Royal treatment from the AFL in regards to fixturing so as I said his "gift" is a tad hollow. I'm not panicking as I don't believe and never have that Scully is leaving. You didn't need to mention "Eddy bashing" as I wasn't bashing him. What I will say about Eddy "conflict of interest" Maguire is just that. What the hell is a club President doing fanning rumours about players at other clubs. The answer: Drawing the heat away from his own. The truth be known I am a tad sensitive!
  12. If what I said is eddy bashing then you're a touch sensitive. Also I never mentioned QB and he didn't gift us the game. Sure he gifted us the home team cash but the QB fixture was allocated by the AFL, who also allocate Collingwood the most generous MCG draw of any team which kind of makes Eddy's "gift" a little hollow. He may have mentioned his players but I'm pretty sure he didn't say the ink was drying and his source was impeccable as he did with Scully. Now take a spell by all means.
  13. As I said you don't want to listen. Talk about head in the sand.
  14. It doesn't really matter who he is.(Hi Tom, welcome to Demonland!) The facts are that Tom's management have told us pretty much the same thing, you just don't want to listen.
  15. sounds like another club I know but let's not look at reality when we can stick the boots in.
  16. you're easily impressed. I'd take North's more recent Premierships over Richmond's 6th place in attendances. I'd also take North's list long before I looked at richmond's.
  17. So why worry. It's a Sheedy thing to create tension amongst all clubs with talented youth. As for maguire, he's just directing the heat away from Swan, Pendalbury and Thomas. Scully will sign when he's ready as will Sylvia and a host of other Demons who's contracts are expiring at year's end.
  18. Surely that's richmond. I don't love north I just respect we're their at. Part of the greatness of this game died when Fitzroy died and I don't want to see North or any other club go down, especially considering how much money this competition has.
  19. That'd be the same North that pumped us last year. They certainly don't fear us so what's your point?
  20. Motives being securing the best deal he can, hardly ulterior. You're in the paranoid camp.
