  1. Don't you understand my post or are you attempting humour?
  2. Clearly it is
  3. The difference being Norm Smith left due to bad management whereas Bruce left due to good management.
  4. Fair dinkum. I could have sworn he would only stay because I said he would on Demonland.
  5. While some of you harp on about losing Scully the FD is most likely ensuring that won't happen and probably looking around at someone we can attract to the club.
  6. Most ridiculous post I have read for along time. Tom Scully is potentially the best player to play for this club since Robbie Flower. They don't come around often.
  7. We have no clear winner because the 3 main choices don't have what it takes to be a great leader. It's the captain after this one that will inspire his players and spell deesaster for the opposition. All part of the rebuild.
  8. You are joking aren't you Why would you plan for failure? Hi I'm the MFC and I'm a loser!
  9. The money or the box. Remember the box contains a fair slab of money. It also contains team mates, the MCG, Jim Stynes, Heritage and marquee games of football. Take the money and you get to play in orange in front of 15,000 bored rugby fans and live in Shitsville. No amount of money would convince me to do what some are proposing Scully will do. He's not going anywhere. Relax and enjoy.
  10. Sheedy can shove any thought of Scully right up his rectum.
  11. You're too sensible to post here.
  12. My guess is one will be a dud, one will play 30 odd games, one will play around 100 games of fairly pedestrian but useful to the team football and one will lean forward in early October 2014 to have a much needed medallion hung around his neck. He's the one we'll all remember when we're very old and Demonland is piped directly into our cerebral cortex. Talk to you then!
  13. Wasn't the only thing we were under when Bailey came on board
  14. very good
  15. That's all well and good but if any, some or all of Gysberts, Tapscott, Blease, Pick 12 2010, maybe even Maric and Strauss come along then people are going to lose their spots. Chances are Bartram will be one of them and the reasons for that will be his decision making under pressure and his disposal. The second sentences is spot on, the third just won't hold up under pressure.
  16. Change is inevitable. We were called The Fuschia's. Given the choice I'd take the Suns or the Giants.
  17. Maybe that's why Richmond didn't take Buddy.
  18. Bartram and Strauss aren't competing for the same spot. If Strauss were to come on then he would shunt Macdonald out of the team, Bartram's a great stopper and a great competitor, he's never going to match Strauss with disposal and he doesn't need to to retain his spot. Bail's a different fish again. The reason he could end up playing in the back half is because he's no 22 in the team and Bartram's number 23.
  19. Understand the sentiment but Bartram's disposal under pressure is not his strong suit.
  20. If players such as Martin, Strauss, Spencer, Maric and Blease come on over the next 12 to 24 months then spots in the team are going to be very hard to come by. You can add Tapscott and Jetta as well as pick 12 this year to make 8 possible inclusions. Personally I see the pressure coming down on Bartram, simply due to his disposal. Dunn, Was 2009 his best form?. Then you've got Macdonald, Bail, Jones, Bennell, Petterd all currently deserving of a game. Let's hope they can all stay fit and have a massive preseason as competition for spots is going to make us an even better side.
  21. Judee from Demonology is raising funds for a tribute. I'll presume some BSB and account numbers will be added soon. I'm good for $75
  22. He was a top 3 pick last year and nothing he has done on the field has changed that. If he's there at 12 my guess is we'll snap him up. I'm hoping for Lynch but probably needed pick 6 - 10 for him.
  23. What else would you expect from a well run business trying to move on some soft wood.
  24. Since when to the likes of Scully, Trengove, Watts and co. give a toss about the last failed MFC era. These guys are playing to make their own history. How do you reckon they'd feel if the club kept a bunch of overpaid senior players on the list at the expense of playing the youth. I know what I'd do I'd have my manager look around for a club that was serious about winning. Grow up Fat Boy and smell the roses.
