It's not the backline it's the shear weight of inside 50's Our midfield allows the opposition so much time and space that our backline has little chance. As our midfield improves so will our backlinf
-
At what point does this become unacceptable?
Roost It replied to Striker475's topic in Melbourne Demons
You have to get the ball in the centre to straighten up -
We need 3 midfielders and we need them as of next year. With Hogan coming in I'd trade one of Frawley or Watts for a top line mid. We'll never compete without them.
-
If we don't play them they will never develop. Playing spuds like Sellar and Byrnes is farcical in our predicament
-
Out Toumpas Sellar byrnes In Watts Strauss Blease
-
Disappointed to see Watts and Blease dropped. They have to be part of our future if we are to climb out of this slump

Mark, Hold strong, I know you can do this
-
He doesn't need to roll the dice. This will turn around and he will do it
-
No my summary is this Average AFL level player who plays tough by punching jumpers. Has yet to go when it's his turn. Not needed. Move on
-
Soft puncher jumpers don't thrive in finals. Simple as that

Andrew Demetriou - Only a phone call away
Roost It replied to Undeeterred's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is how the conversation should go Don "Hi AD, we need the best sports CEO in the land and 2 quality board members" AD "I think thats a great idea. Lets keep it hush until we've found the right people. We'll make it look as though you orchestrated it. We'll need you to stand down at years end" Don "Fair enough, who will replace me?" AD "One of the new board members will gather a ticket and we'll get this place rocking" Don "So I'm a dead man walking?" AD "You always have been Don" -
With a bit of luck Dunn will be chopped at years end. If the club clears out players like Dunn we'll be far better off. He's the classic "training the house down player" Apply the blowtorch and gone!

1. Don't do any media. Talk directly to members, supporters and sponsors 2. With the assisstance of the AFL replace the CEO 3. Add 2 non MFC board members from successful sports clubs 4. Keep training hard and unite the playing group. Remember folks, we're 1 win from turning this around
