Highlight for mine was Whitten Oval 1987 Haven't sung the song with a train load of strangers that many times and with that much passion since. Great days

So we get Roos, pick 1 or 2 and picks 18 and 19(should we get a priority), Hogan, Toumpas(a year older and fitter) and possibly Barry(a year older and fitter. Clark gets a full presaeson as does Trengove and Grimes. All of a sudden we start to win games and we all fawn over Roos. Neeld has had to deal with a dead President and now an incompetant one, a CEO who has now been sacked for utter incompetence, tanking, drugs and the constant and ferocious glare of the media. On top of this his 2 captains are injured along with his key forwards. Yet we all expect him to drive us up the ladder. Talk about dreaming. Roos ain't the Messiah, we are on the path to improvement. Oh and another thing I bet if all AFL players spoke honestly about their coach they'd be many who have plenty of derogatory things to say. Winning fixes the problem. It will start happening next year regardless of who is coach. Our list isn't the tragedy many think it is.

What if we get within 6 goals or dare we mention it, actually win

What will we do with our pick this year

Round 1 2014 B Garland Frawley Draft pick 2(pacy back pocket) HB Grimes McDonald Shiels C Trengove Viney Watts HF Sylvia Hogan Draft pick 1 (Mid) F Blease Clark Dawes R Gawn Toumpas Jones INT Jamar M Jones Prestia Draft pick 3 EMG Terlich Barry Kent If we could pull this off and restructure our club, find a new President, likely a new coach, a head of Football with Premiership success we would improve dramatically. Pigs of course don't fly but here's hoping we can throw one off a cliff -

Terlich doesn't have the polish required Strauss is as soft as butter The rest show some potential. Watts, Hogan, Clark, Grimes, Trengove, Blease all playing fully fit should help as well. Neeld may have marked his cards on Sunday but whoever takes over needs to get this draft spot on. If they do we'll improve quickly. -
The problem and the solution as largely detailed by P Jackson

We can go lower and you'll come with us and then we'll lift like the proverbial phoenix

It appears Jackson has spotted several inadequacies within the structures of the club. He mentions the FD several times and understands the need to have it operating at AFL elite standards. I'd expect changes here very soon. I'd expect Neeld will stay and be given the year to prove or hang himself, if Sunday didn't already do that. I was impressed with Jackson but we'd be foolish to think he is the Messiah. Many of us have been calling for the club to bring in some non Melbourne people to help fix this.club and hopefully he will do this. I'm presuming he'll be in contact with the AFL and if we need people they will help the club secure them. What a waste of 6 years.

Besides Roos I wouldn't be changing coaches. Who is it you think we're going to get?

Does Dawes get just the one game

The other night I met a member of the coterie who is regularly in the rooms as well. He also laughed off the talk of player discontent. Said he spends alot of time around the club and had not heard or seen any signs of the demonland notion of Neeld having lost the players.

I don't think he cares and neither will we when we start winning games under Neeld
