  1. Garland won't miss, he'll be seen as having the agility to go to Franklin.
  2. Some footballers like to convince themselves that everything is within thier control.
  3. I got to the game late and sat right in front of these toothless ferals until moving at quarter time to our usual position. My kids were pretty upset with the crap they were chanting and the running commentary of filth and vitriol in between. It was a sweet moment when both cheer squads broke out into Grand Old Flag in the last and turned toward these clowns. Really enjoyed that. There is a Geelong group of idiots who do the same thing.
  4. Riewoldt another name who was put through the chipper.
  5. What a shame we haven't got Johnson and Buckley clogging our list. And pick 11 for Mclean what a disaster. You don't give players games because they are unhappy. If and I say a big "if" a player does not respond well to demotion and criticism it is the player's not the club's problem. You attack the problem at it's root. Cale Morton could be a terrific player. Get him to practice his short kicking, work on his decision making, do some hard in close work and hopefully with another season or two with the protein shakes and in the gym he will be capable of playing any position on the ground. At the moment in every position on the ground the footy dept believe we have a better option. It really is as simple as that.
  6. At this particular moment in time Morton is a conundrum. Not agile or strong enough to be a midfielder, doesn't hit targets enough to be an outside player and definitely not strong enough for a key position. He has a lot of things going for him too such as his height, his tank and his ability to fin dthe ball in space. I believe that the moving of players like Cale around is symptomatic. The footy dept are trying to find his best position. He is still a young player and has plenty time to work on his deficiencies.
  7. Nathan Jones: 13 kicks, 12 Handpasses, 6 contested at 84%. One of the best and most influential midfielders on the ground.
  8. The small amount I have seen of him left me very impressed. Looks to have good pace, fluid movement and great skills. Looks every bit a league footballer to me. Lets hope he gets fit over the next pre-season to have a decent crack at it net year.
  9. It's called tribal passion Rhino and without it the footy would be a boring place to go. We should get passionate about defending our club. We should begin to believe we are a great club and demand respect.
  10. Thanks Tim and all. Contacted the club and they are sending me out a copy.
  11. Are you fair dinkum?
  12. Found him on Facebook. Sent him a message challenging him to recant in a future article. "This article is doing the rounds on various websites at the moment as a tremendous piece of anti-prohcecy. Any chance of you doing another more positive piece?"
  13. Love it It's the emblem of the team we love
  14. I hate to be contraversial but is Watts really a walk up start in the 22 right now.
  15. Frawley to defeat whoever he plays on.
  16. I made that face when I saw her too
  17. We have rarely been subdued for four quarters this season. Consistency is the Holy Grail of the young team. Sometimes it is closer or further away than it appears. A combination of match fitness, belief in the game plan, self belief and trust in thier team-mates. When 22 footballers run on to the ground with these factors covered success will be upon us I feel. I think I have descended far too far into character.
  18. Get on Bail for a nom this week people! The Boss is the ulimate anti-tipster.
  19. When players run and expect to win the football they run to space and demand the footy. Then players kick it to them.
  20. He also likes Catwoman at Movie world. You boys who have seen her know what I'm talking about. The body hugging black suit and the whips..
  21. I thought that Morton was a good match up on him around the ground but it was clear that when Goodes was one out in the forward line that Goodes was far too strong. As soon as Goodes had the time to get body contact he won the contest. It was as clear as day, hardly Morton's fault, he just was not physically in the contest. He is 7 or 8 kilos from being able to stand toe to toe with someone like Goodes and expect to even compete.
  22. He is definitely going to the Gold Coast. He bought one of those Theme Park passes. He wold me that he can't wait to go to water-world. He has been there before but it was a long time ago and he was just a kid. He is also a big fan of the dolphins at seaworld. He tells me he is amazed at how intelligent those big slippery fishies are.
  23. Would not surprise me. The body might be a little banged up and he might need a rest.
  24. Looks and moves like a portly indigenous Richmond player of the 70s and early 80s (I think). A natural footballer. As far as fluid movement and kicking skills is up there with Davey as the best in the side. I hope his body allows him to build his fitness to the level to get on the park consistently.
  25. If he starts to get the footy 20-30 times a game he will be very damaging. He would be my pick along with Wona as smokeys on our list to become A graders.
