  7. Funny, at the time I thought the GC approach of having the majority of the team together the year before playing in the Queensland league would have create a better team cohesion etc. But it didn't. Maybe because they we with Ablett who was more about himself than building a team around him. Him being so dominant even on game day meant the team didn't develop. Where as the GWS went with more team focused experienced players, built a team faster. Form media report they are looking at the Tassie team being competitive from the start like the entry of Eagles/Crows into the league. Essentially aiming for a state team to se the foundation and culture.

Report of 120k now, the majority of Tassie address according to articles. Brings ups the argument of the value of memberships to the club. Are they for additional revenue with current membership packages, it should they be cheaper and then leverage as a marketing list. By making them cheaper for the majority like a $10 - $50 basic membership , the club gets access to a bigger market to sell to sponsors. Which is worth more than the $ we get from the existing packages.

The eagles were essentially a state team when they joined, it was also implied in their originally version of the song.

I heard that they had over 25k signed up at $10 each. Its a sneaky way to get GF tickets, My mate who is a life long tigers supporter in WA, signed up with the giants and got his tigers v GWS grand final ticket through the GWS application as he missed out as. tiger member. Might be an option considering how fast they want the team to succeed.

    what is he up too?
  19. Slippery conditions against a well coached side, which is do struggle against. despite that I did tip us to just win so double annoyed. We had our chances early but kicking 1.7 cost us the game. Our forwards were poor and not working hard enough to create opportunities for those bringing the ball in. Also our crumbs don't crumb, never have for some reason. Laurie looked terrible but so did a lot of teammates. Overall a very frustrating ingot of footy. We have time to reset for rd 1.
  20. Thank god for langers… Horrible game but we are only 7 down.
  21. Not looking sharpe at the moment, they look like they are rusty in the touch if the footy. Had opportunities l, just need to capitalise on the this qtr. swan got a definite plan going.
  22. Gee I dislike papley…
  23. Only a practice, but great to see some of the changes they have been working on over the summer. The trick is can we maintain that lower flatter kick into the forward line under real pressure? Hope so.
  24. Noooooooo.... really disappointed for him and our team. After his early head knocks he seemed to have put it to bed until the Maynard hit. He's going to be missed as he had at least after 4 good years in him to help our team succeed.
