  1. not having a good night
  2. who's going to win the women's Coleman?
  3. The lions pressure is immense as they have a lot to play for, in reality more than us for a 2nd chance. They are playing really well. Hopefully our superior fitness and workrate will allow to finish over the top them them. We slowed down their lateral movement that qtr and their flow. Big 2nd half coming up.
  4. The fight by WC was quickly snuffed out. Maybe in the 2nd half the crows will wilt in the heat. Is damn hot over here today.
  5. The girls will be better off than the mens's side as the squad is much smaller, I think 30 in total. Nice bonus to their pay. I wonder if it counts towards tax or its classed as a windfall as with any other prize competition?
  6. Her comment hasn't aged well. Well done saints.
  7. not a bad qtr into the wind... time to put the pressure on in the last to keep that % gap from those below us.
  8. They tried last season as other posters said we did very well in keeping the squad together. I guess it depends on why they play. I think from next season all players is going up close to median wage for workers of 60k this year increasing to 82k in 2027, so technically it could be a "full-time" income for some players for what is a part time commitment. Where I see players moving is becoming the marque players at another side with the pay bump. On the slip side we have enough talent that has been developed we could cover the loss of most players. And if we lose a significant players, most likely we could bring in another good player? But you are right, lets enjoy this season.

While I agree, the notion that the best players are limited to say the top 10 in the draft pool. Time and time again players taken later have proven to be great players. Though its hard to find them and feel it really about their personal drive than their success in junior/development footy.

More top picks the better, closer to 1, if the draft is "Shallow" why go back to 17. Trust them to get 2 great players for 6/11
  11. Great game but he girls after early roo pressure. I do reckon I can say one of their goals was from 2 really bad umpiring decisions of non decisions against us. Good to see us take it up to a physically bigger side after falling short against the crows.
  12. You really can't judge until after all the draft are done. However, I think Sydney did well I improving their team.

Does getting Reid solve our issues in foot skills and scoring. Or will at least 2 top 11 picks solve that? Not knowing who the club is considering its hard to weight up the 2 options.
  14. I heard they were throwing in Cripps to sweeten the deal when we went to walk out.
  15. On face value it does not seem like a good trade...but as other have said we seem to have something in the works when we do this.
  16. We'll be there are usual. hopefully, 1 maybe 2 in the honour guard for the girls. Should be a great game. Go Dees..
  17. Yep he's one of the worst for it.
  18. yes the umpiring is terrible.
  19. definite a lot more stronger bodies than us.
  20. seems like a good punt, moves pretty well for 200cm. If its simply the case of being too far down he pecking order, I saw Its good for a late pick.
  21. Essendon in a nutshell.. even they laughed on the coach..

could make it part of a trade deal and supporting each other...
  23. There is no reason he would want to come and play with us...he wants to continue being the no.1 ruck somewhere
  24. I would say the percentage conversion is a lot lower know as we have picked up a lot more "supporters" since the 2021 GF and the presence of Trac in the team. How long they will follow us , who knows.
  25. The audience seems to be growing and that is all the matters for the AFL. The more we grow the "safer" the will be.
