Prediction or known ?
-
That's always been Harmsy's problem though. The gap between his best and his worst is huge. Both in game and in season. Just on ability alone there's not much he can't do. He can take a hanger, can pass lace out to a lead, can explode from a stoppage, can kick goals. On ability he's pretty much got it all. But then he'll also handball to a team mate's feet, miss a target by a mile, go missing for large parts of a game, get caught with the ball etc etc For me he's been the most frustrating player due to his output not matching his capacity. If he leaves I'll wish him well. If he stays I'll also wish him well and hope he has a year where he consistently delivers at the high end of his capabilities. No matter what, he's a Demon premiership hero and I'll never forget that pass to Fritta.

AFLW: Rd 04 vs Hawthorn
Go the Biff replied to Timothy Reddan-A'Blew's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
A few random thoughts following my B. Mackin right leg post. Casey Sherriff will probably never get in the votes. Just doesn't get enough of the footy. But 2 or 3 times a game she has a "right place right time" moment which often result in goals. Despite not kicking bags, Tayla Harris is having a hell of a season. Gets to so many contests, very team oriented and is a wrecking ball when the opposition has the ball. Paxy might play until she's 50 Georgia Campbell is improving by the week. Fantastic heir apparent to Loz. Goldrick is a modern day Rhino Richards. Tyla Hanks has long reminded me of a male player and it annoys me that I've not been able to pin down who it is. Her low to the ground running style, her vision, her change of direction and her ability to weave through traffic with a shift of her hips. I'm now thinking it's a composite of Gary Ablett Jnr, Cyril Rioli and Lally Bamblett. -

The sort of bloke you'd love to have as a team mate. Thanks Moose. Glad you got that well deserved flag.

AFLW: Rd 04 vs Hawthorn

As well as her pace Blaithin has a serious right leg on her, particularly for a cross coder. Gets good distance and is pretty accurate. I struggle to think of a better ball user from those imported from other sports -
Reckon we've under invested in our O-line for a while now. No point signing more & more pass rushers when you keep losing QB's to injury. We need a couple of units in there who can keep the bloody gate shut !

My first Melbourne footy jumper sported the number 31. So glad he saw us deliver another flag. RIP great man

Who ? Jesus I get sick of reading this tripe. The only KPF available was McStay and he'd cast his lot in with the Pies. Your mind must be easily boggled.

1. Agreed 2. Watching from the grandstand

Nah. Harry Petty before that

Pretty sure Henry has nominated the Saints

Except Spargo has barely had a kick since Round 5. He had a bright start to the season but has been off since he got himself knocked out trying to duck a tackle.

Same. I prefer Colvin to Birch -
I read somewhere (and I CBF looking for it) that Melk's ACL tear was one of the "better" ones and all going well he may be available mid season. That kinda reinforces the decision to contract him for another year

Let's keep this thing rolling. 6. Hore 5. Hanks 4. Purcell 3. Lampard 2. Pearce 1. McNamara Apologies to plenty again, especially Tayla who played a great key forward role without a significant scoreboard impact. More encouraging signs from young Georgie Campbell as well. Pleasing.

Impossible not to love Pig. His run with the Cup is an image that will endure for many a long year. Still our best lockdown defender. Enjoy retirement Hibbo. -
It didn't work on Thursday. Max played a great game. But we lost.
