AFLW: Rd 03 vs Western Bulldogs
Go the Biff replied to Dees_In_October's topic in AFL National Women's League
Same. I prefer Colvin to Birch -
I read somewhere (and I CBF looking for it) that Melk's ACL tear was one of the "better" ones and all going well he may be available mid season. That kinda reinforces the decision to contract him for another year

Let's keep this thing rolling. 6. Hore 5. Hanks 4. Purcell 3. Lampard 2. Pearce 1. McNamara Apologies to plenty again, especially Tayla who played a great key forward role without a significant scoreboard impact. More encouraging signs from young Georgie Campbell as well. Pleasing.

Michael Hibberd Hanging Up the Boots
Go the Biff replied to Heart Beats True's topic in Melbourne Demons
Impossible not to love Pig. His run with the Cup is an image that will endure for many a long year. Still our best lockdown defender. Enjoy retirement Hibbo. -
It didn't work on Thursday. Max played a great game. But we lost.

Congrats @Redleg. Your boy is back !!!!

Because while in the AIR he turned his right shoulder into Brayshaw. If you can twist your body to the right while in the AIR, you can just as easily twist left in which case contact would likely be negligible. Or you can extend your arms and protect yourself and the other player by fending with hands to the chest. I've no issue with the attempted smother but once Maynard's hands missed the footy, he had options. He took the worst one.

No he wasn't. For his first few seasons the only bloke Hawkins kicked a bag on was Nathan Carroll

Probably Perth Jaded. Sorry. Couldn't resist 😉

Eden Zanker. Third quarter I think.

More than happy to

I can remember those games. Struggling to remember what I did yesterday though 😁
-
He also took Nick Haynes to the cleaners when Haynes was at the height of his powers. Twice in a season. Some folks should watch closer.
-
Reckon you should appoint a temp @joeboy. Hand over the keys for a week. As long as it's not me 😁

I am a cynical old git but that segment had me tearing up. A reminder that we should all gather up those we love and give thanks for what we've got. RIP Charlie you little Demon champion

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Go the Biff replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
You should have been here a few years ago mate. We were looking to the draft in March ! -
He's been injured or ordinary the last two years. While trying to carry Norf's defence on his back. Prior to that he looked really promising, particularly in tandem with Robbie Tarrant. I've found myself wondering how he'd slot in as May's apprentice and heir apparent. It would also free up Petty to stay at CHF. It's well worth investigating. The whisper is that he's off to Essendon. Surely working with Lever and May at a club in premiership contention would be more appealing from McKay's perspective. Cutting the Druggies grass is an extra benefit in my view 😉

Probably a virus Jaded. Poor Cats
-
Not sure about his marking. He copped a couple of significant hand injuries. That said his recuperative powers are legendary 🙌

Have we officially found our full forward?
Go the Biff replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
It has been since he was running around at Casey in his first year. That ability to mark with arms fully extended stamped him as one to watch pretty much since day one.
