I'd keep Tomlinson if he's agreeable for the reasons you've outlined. Additionally I think we should be looking to manage May through the season. Steve won't like being rested but if it's sold to him that we want to extend his career by three years rather than three games then it's a win - win Tomlinson enables us to take this approach. Although if the Pies sell him on the Nathan Murphy role, he might find that enticing enough to walk.

Good to see the impact of our returning troops although I suspect it will be too little, too late. There remains some serious quality on the injured list.
