Perhaps dumping Scully gives them the room they need to keep Shiel But yeah, on face value this trade beggars belief

Mine's the same as yours It doesn't sit well though

Disagree. If he stays he's not the first to have a trade denied & go on to represent his club with distinction. Ryan O'Keefe is probably the poster boy for that. Denied a trade to his home state and ended up a premiership player (maybe a Norm Smith as well) with the Swans.

Rams, Seahawks, Ravens

I wonder what the pull will be if we play finals again next year. If Hogan gets to bag a handful in front of 90,000 cheering him at the G

The club would be planning what the list would ideally look like over the next 1 - 5 years to try to get the maximum return out of what's currently a pretty strong position Perhaps it's as simple as 1) the club had an expectation that Jesse would request a trade at the end of his current contract 2) they had been tracking May with a view to getting him at the end of his current contract (which Mahoney has confirmed) 3) they saw an opportunity to advance those changes by 12 months And perhaps you're reading too much into it old chap. Can't see it happening but he is the kind of player we need. Hard, relentless runner both ways. Great hands & his kicking improved significantly in his time at GWS. I'd have him back in an instant. Stuff living in the past

That was Plan B. Plan A was to have a crack at him next year. Plan C it is Does anyone know if the club applied to the AFL for permission to trade next year's first round pick ? If so, were we successful ? -
I think you answered your own question

Where are they now? Austin Wonaeamirri

They might take the Casey approach to naming players in position. Jake Best kicked 2 goals in that game. He has been through more clubs than Jack Nicklaus. Brief interview with him after his first game last season. There are a lot of familiar names in that comp. Including an A. Davey wearing #36 at Palmerston -

The Team Manager would certainly earn his keep filling out their team sheet ! Yep. He and a couple of others fresh from winning the EFL Divvy 1 flag with Vermont (including their coach) are named in the Tiwi team -
Rams, Ravens, Broncos still smarting from that overrule that cost the poor old Browns a win - and me a point !

Agreed. We should take him on a tour of Jihad Stadium and Blundstone Arena to remind him of what the alternative is. He's exactly what we need playing the inside / outside role in tandem with Brayshaw. Not exclusively as a winger

You might want to follow that one. Lowest rated horse in the race and put in a stunning run

I didn't give a rats about the result until with a few minutes to go Jeremy Howe took a defensive mark. He's probably a nice bloke but right then I realised I never want to see him as a premiership player with Collingwood

According to who ? Facebook ? Judd's grandma ?

Seahawks, Saints and ..............ah #$@% it, why not the Browns

Isaac Heeney got Mark of the Year. Disappointing he didn't thank Pedo in his acceptance speech. That hospital pass onto Hogan's head was perfection

He might struggle to swim his 100 km this off season

That's my understanding as well. I've a vague recollection of an interview on World of Sport with Wayne Read, the MFC president of the day outlining the reasons for the split

That's the heart of it. They've become what we were in our glory days of the '50's and '60's I don't hate Hawthorn. I admire and respect them and a lot of my favourite non-Melbourne players over the years have been Hawks Their supporters though - for the most part - give me the sh!ts. I knew about 3 of them growing up and now the bandwagoners are everywhere. If ever someone tells me they barrack for Hawthorn I always ask who their first team was. Add to that the fact that Glenferrie Oval used to be Range Rover Central and I'm pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of snow-goers are "Hawthorn barrackers". I wonder if my mum and her Demon mates were as smug as those pricks back in our heyday.

Agreed. I understand our interest in him. I can't however understand his interest in us. He's signing on to a gig at Casey
