  1. There is no doubt that Kozzie would like to play his footy in WA and that Freo are aware of this. A trade request was close this year so I’d said it’s likely next year. Kozzie is super close with Roy George. They’re essentially related so it will be interesting to see if his presence at the club helps.
  2. Common theme amongst all 4 tenants you mention is they've all won their respective competitions in the last 5 years so it can't be too bad in there.
  3. It is owned by the people of Glen Eira with a Trust providing governance. What element are you warming to? Taking the sloppy seconds of Hawthorn? If it were up to scratch for redevelopment, they would have done it themselves. I'm warming to sitting tight at AAMI Park where the players love coming to work, with an elite backup facility at Casey until the right piece of land to set us up for the next 50 years is available to the MFC.
  4. I got told last year Goody became increasingly agitated about people watching on at Casey. He was told to cool off.
  5. If they unequivocally oppose it, the project is dead.
  6. He’s a fairly recent elect and the decision ultimately lay with the Caulfield trust I believe
  7. Not in the interest of racing, the MRC or the residents who would lose their beloved dog park. Kanga himself apparently uses it 😂
  8. John Kanga has just now on RSN stated the MRC opposes Melbourne football club using the inside of the track.
  9. Very serious.
  10. I agree it is and the sample size is short but what gives me hope is that once you have a body/build like AJ does that the role requires work ethic, strength and desire. They aren’t teachable unfortunately as we have learnt with many key forwards before (loathe to name weid, wattsy and Lucas cook).
  11. What I’ve seen is a workhorse who is willing to play a role for the team which may at times be unrewarded. What I mean by this is he’s going to take a big defender and use his work ethic and power to create space JVR and Fritta. A willing tackler who can pinch hit in the ruck. Think Micocek at Collingwood and that’s the prototype.
  12. Back up to the starting talls in 25. A very good back up!
  13. After witnessing training my rolling 22 Salem May Lever McVee Petty Windsor Bowey Petracca Langdon Tholstrup Johnson Chandler Kozzy Fritsch JVR Gawn Oliver Viney Melksham Turner Rivers (mid rotation) Woewodin. Howes.
  14. Absolutely. He's a work horse and the grunt work he will do should give nicer looks to JVR & Fritsch.
  15. I believe there is a spot for Sharp on the wing. He will be fighting with Bowey, XL & Woey for that role. Jed Adams for mine probably isn't quite at the level and I was surprised the club re-contracted him so early. Happy to be proven wrong. Tholstrup would be an on-field starter in the 18. Everything he does is with intent. His defensive efforts in the front 50 are infectious. Second ruck will be Aidan Johnson.
  16. Observations: Woey's physique is seriously impressive. As big an off-season change as I can remember seeing. Not that he was in poor shape to begin with, however, impressive gains! A lot more hand balling and lateral movement through the middle. Less kick in hope and reliance on territory only. Windsor with the backs. Adds class to our ball transition. Radford involvement has increased. Seems to have a lot of say in game plan/tactics. Kentfield & Fullerton focus areas are their one touch with marking. Jonesy brings the group in between 25-33 closer together.
  17. I thought Mcvee was going to re sign for 2 years.
  18. Does he have anxiety around it? a 2KM time trial is not always a the only indicator of running ability, particularly in this game where patterns (IQ) are as important as aerobic reach.
  19. I’ve got a personal connection to Roy as well and that’s the common theme - he’s a top guy who is jovial and engaging but willing to work super hard. Comes from a broader friendship group of Kozzy which can only be a good thing them both having Roy at the club currently.
  20. the ~80 thousand dollar desk. I've heard the names Stuart Fox & Sam Graham mentioned as leading contenders.
  21. From the financials. An operating profit is very different to an reported profit.
  22. Annual accounts have been released. Puts an end to a grim year for the club. https://resources.melbournefc.com.au/aflc-melb/document/2024/11/22/8b9ff1d8-7937-4b5c-ac7d-a19869da7ae9/Annual-Financial-Report-2024.pdf
  23. Can someone clarify if we can list Noah Yze? Surprised no one has asked JT.
  24. Great video with our two new boys! Good to know they'll both have a buddy early on.
  25. Can we rookie Yze today? Surely we do. There’s a player in there. A nice project.
