The club were confident that funding had been all but secured prior to the recent election and there now seems to be a funding gap which means something has changed because they had told Johnson Controls that there services in raising commercial capital were no longer required. As I understand, benefactors have been asked how much they’re willing to put in and it will take the club contribution above $30M. Community funding favourability is far less for Glen Eira than Geelong, Footscray, Dingley etc.

No. The Collingwood side benefit from a little more class in their top end and a little more nous with their experienced guys but they’re absolutely more well drilled. They win some, they manage others and they lose few. If goody was a great coach, this could also be his trademark but it isn’t. His trademark sat around a game plan but it hasn’t evolved or adapted since he came a head coach.

Johnson executed his role to a high level. Compete in the air and on the ground, tackle pressure and provide a ruck contest. As he gets more experience at the level, his production will increase. Stick with him please. First time watching Logan Morris closely after hearing we are linked to him and I can see why. Very dynamic movement and plays above his height. Similar to Melksham in some ways.

McVee was very close to signing for 2 years in October/November. He opted to wait in an attempt to extract contract value in the early rounds. The club have upped their offer despite his injury which is an awesome show of faith. Was offered 4 years but has settled for 2 which was always his preference.
