  2. It’s become the worst kept secret that we have an agreement with the AFL to move to Waverley once we have something solid to announce on Caulfield. The AFL have stepped up their assistance with Caulfield because the opening of Gosch’s will assist them in other commercial ways. We will retain some office space at the MCG where board meetings will continue to be held. The club have a clear strategy that they won’t speak publicly on Waverley until it’s formally announced which I believe will be before mid season.
  3. 7NEWSRichmond zeroing in on nearby oval as new training baseThe Tigers will need a new home later this year when Punt Road Oval is torn up.Another article confirming we are moving to Waverley. At odds with the clubs public stance but clearly something that is happening.
  4. 7news reporting that Richmond have their eye on Goschs paddock for 2027.
  5. Steele going to the meeting with King not wanting to leave St.Kilda and coming out having changed his mind was the first tick of King’s tenure. We were told he has poor foot skills. What I’ve seen at training and his 3 games for us, I’m seeing the opposite. His weighted kick to Max for his goal was sensational. He put it in front of Max and not on his head.
  6. Culley has a really unique skill set and you’re right, it is perplexing. Thankfully, we are the beneficiary.
  7. Sparrow has done enough in the pre-season to keep his place but he will need to improve his production before others go past him. Culley is one I think will end up getting midfield minutes.
  8. I don't think there is any doubt that Betsy are a media mouth-piece for the MRC.
  9. Expected interchange (IMO): Pickett, Culley, McDonald, Rivers, Melksham. EMG: Heath, Sharp & Tholstrup.
  10. Heard it’s now 50k, and should bounce to 51-52 after Sunday
  11. Your Coach 2026 - Steven King before his debut as Melbour...It's been a big off-season of learning for Steven King. Ahead of his first official game as Melbourne coach this weekend, King sits down with Josh Gabelich to discuss his first pre-season in charge.
  12. 1 debut video announcement coming soon Demonlanders!

  14. Demons’ footy boss bounced over Caulfield Melbourne Football Club’s public stance they are moving closer to a deal to train at Caulfield has been described as ‘’fanciful’’. Betsy recently wrote about how a deal between the Melbourne Football Club, the Melbourne Racing Club and the Caulfield Trust who manages the racecourse precinct is in trouble. The football club wants a $100m training complex built on the site. There are many issues that threaten to scupper the deal – the main being the football club’s insistence a tunnel is built underneath the racetrack [which would shut racing down for at least a year], not to mention an unwillingness to share an administration facility. Running the football club’s process is Racing Victoria board member Paul Guerra, who is also the Melbourne Football Cub CEO. There are serious fractures emerging on the racing side of the deal – many at the MRC have dwindling interest in sharing the site with the football club. Which is why comments from Guerra on SEN on Tuesday caught the interest of many within racing. “We are close to what we ever have been before (with Caulfield) but still not close enough to announce. But when we can, that will become the new home for Melbourne Football Club,’’ he told SEN. “We always look at alternates. Once we’ve announced Caulfield – the negotiations are at a delicate stage – we can then start to look at how long is it going to take us to move into Caulfield by the time we get approvals and then build. Then what might be available in the interim.” Close? Closer to dead than happening, is how one insider described the situation. The definitive nature of Guerra’s remarks caught a few by surprise. While a few in the footy world may see it as a given, many in government and racing do not. Those who we spoke to yesterday described the comments as ‘’desperate’’, another described the remarks as ‘’fanciful’’. Racing powerbrokers remain unconvinced football should come to Caulfield. There haven’t been any discussions since Betsy revealed how far apart the parties are. But while the football club’s feasibility study may be close to release, the reality is that there is little chance of any Sherrin’s being kicked at Caulfield in the medium term.
  15. Could you please elaborate on what he said?
  16. It definitely aligns to what Guerra said on SEN when he had every opportunity to announce the Waverley move and didn't. It appears Morris is wrong, or at least premature in his reporting. He normally got his leaks from The Brand. I think Waverley will happen and I've been told that some players have been engaged for their insights into how we make it a home but only once Caulfield can be solidly announced which is edging closer.
  17. Really sad to hear Kozzy & Ardu have separated. She was instrumental in Kozzy resigning and is a known lover of Melbourne, the club and town. Hopefully some spiritual reconnection in Darwin, her family home, can assist. Glad to hear the club is supportive and flexible. I’ve got no doubt he will play and this would be her wish.
  18. I doubt he steps straight back into the 1s of an acl, interrupted pre season and no practice games.
  19. “Negotiations with the state government are at a delicate stage” is about as close to an update from Guerra as we will get until it’s announced. Caulfield is it.
  20. I agree this is what we may get but if there’s one interviewer capable of drilling down on a real answer, I don’t mind Gerard.
  21. Gerard said last week he will be asking Paul Guerra about the facilities
  22. So just tell us that. It’s half expected any way.
  23. Access to 10 home games and 1 replacement game I believe
  24. An important membership drive with the special offer of 11 home games for $100. Importantly, we will also hear from Paul Guerra (facilities update) and Steven King. Get on board only $100 if you haven’t already.
