PREGAME: Practice Match vs Richmond
Luker has started ruck craft in the last few weeks but he’s a genuine Key forward who is right now being selected ahead of Jefferson in the same role.

I'm no fan of Schwab but it was definitely Jimmy behind the Casey push.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 18th February 2026
The truth hurts to hear. I do agree to some extent. He doesn’t have that ‘dog’ in him with regards to his application on the running. However, I just want to remark that it’s not and never will be his go. Shane is a natural footballer and his instincts are his greatest strength and so you can’t judge him on lap running. Let’s judge him upon his output for Casey when the time comes. There’s absolutely a player there. I’m glad he’s at least still seeing it through.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 18th February 2026
I believe his son Marley is boarding at Xavier College and Flash was visiting before the season starts with South Cairns. There was talk of Marley being invited to training but unsure if that happened today. He’s close with Rivers from their playing days.

INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
Would be good to hear from Kingy post this intraclub. He hasn't done a lot of media which is fine, there probably hasn't been a lot to say but I think it would be good to hear his thoughts now.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY 2026
41,252 as of today. Looks like the membership campaign has got +1,000 in a couple of days. For those who haven't signed up to even an armchair membership, why?

INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
He found the footy a bit but has no authority when in possession. I'm sure it will come with confidence but he needs to drive forward with his legs and with the football.

INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
I couldn't agree more with all of the above and it's probably why you need Windsor or Kozzy in the centre bounces with Sparrow.

INTRACLUB: Friday 13th February 2026
Sparrow was terrific. His impact has always been solid but his production has increased. Could be a break out season as a genuine mid.

2026 Supplemental Selection Period draft prospects
I thought his highlights looked really tidy with plenty of upside but that's exactly what they are - highlights. There must be some serious flaws in his game to have that much talent and not get drafted, rookied or SSP'ed.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 11th February 2026
He's a certain starter for for all the reasons you have mentioned above. With regards to his very light preseason, I'd say he's able to guide the club on how to best manage his body. His off-field habits are also elite and this gives him that bit more leeway when it comes to actual training loads.

Particularly after the club were happy to take supporter $$ to get Gosch’s extended to MCG sized. If I recall correctly, Peter Lawrence put up ~$100k.

Looks like he has a girlfriend who is a local, which is the best way to retain interstate talent.

We don’t fit under one roof but we’re a 5 minute walk in the great southern stand of the G. Do the players really need to be seeing the corporates day in day out to be a good football club! It’s an absolute furphy for mine.

I could not agree more. Casey is a class facility now. AAMI suits the players. I don’t see why this needs changing unless Caulfield isn’t coming to fruition?
