Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Buckley, Skipworth, Lade, Kelly, King & Giansircusa I believe. Montgomery, Leon Cameron, Cameron Bruce and Jarrad Schofield were spoken to but not proceeded with.

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
The board approved higher levels of spending during the pandemic despite knowing it would come at a loss and therefore Guerra is a poorly performed CEO. The chair debunking it completely makes your point about this article spot on.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
The coaches responsibility at afl level is not to sore out a bunch of ****ebags. It is to create an environment where players see how they can individually improve. I don’t believe our players are inhereiting the former and neither should they be.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
I’m not entirely sure that King isn’t part of the process but I know the club were particularly enthused and interested in how Kelly had presented. Think McRae. It was different, it was positive. King has worked under Bevo, Chris Scott and coached his own team for a few weeks. To me he looked a brilliant candidate but there is something about Kelly.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Buckley Giansiricusa Skipworth Lade Montgomery Kelly. Believe Enright opted out and Daly has advised that while the opportunity appealed, the timing didn’t work. The club had a conversation with Leon Cameron, not sure what came of that.

Farewell Judd McVee
I was also told he had re-signed as much as 4 months ago. Strange one.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
It’s a bit of both I guess.. reading between the lines of the updates I’ve received. They have been scarce which I’m seeing as a positive and Guerra’s interviews Friday alluded to a clear need to act commercially in confidence to stop the leaks.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Brendon Lade, James Kelly and Danny Daly formally spoken to. Shortlist to be whittled down to 6 for further interviews. Buckley, Enright and Skipworth the favourites for me. Giansiracusa the Smokey.

Trade Targets
I have no idea but no doubt the recruiter liked him in his draft year. I’m sure he comes good but we can’t be nursing him to that point just as north can’t. You just know he becomes a star at Geelong, Brisbane or Sydney - sadly.

Trade Targets
Jason Taylor would have drafted Z Duursma over Windsor - fact

GAMEDAY: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
They’re letting trac have possession of the ball knowing he will turn it over. I’ve not seen that before. He’s a $1M / season player.

We should be getting a letter from the president today or tomorrow

Farewell Judd McVee

Farewell Judd McVee
Doesn’t he?

Farewell Judd McVee
Seems he was seduced by Goodys promise of midfield time, as well as this actually happening late last year. Set to sign after a strong pre season. Does the hammy and hasn’t looked close to the form which would force a midfield move. Such a frustrating one. He may stay but the bitter part of me is saying we took the chance on him, debuted him against the odds etc. West Coast didn’t want a bar of him.

Daniel Turner - Next MFC Captain?
The recent conversation on Max's heir apparent (or lack there of) has had me thinking that I believe Daniel Turner is best placed to be our next captain. The growth in his game has been huge in the last two years. He's been forthright in his love for the club. Commands respect from his team mates. The expected timeline of Max having at least 2 more solid years in him fits in with Disco's development timeline. I think he may be the next Melbourne Football Club captain. What are the the thoughts of other Demonlanders?

Satirical surely? 😅

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
That’s fine. Simpson is a sharp football mind but his success was very goody-like in it’s reliance on a strong core group of 10 or so players. When given the chance to turn over the WCE list and change the strategy, he buried the club by hanging onto past heroes. We need a fresh ideas, creative strategy and an innovator. Don’t be afraid of quality of assistants!

POSTGAME: Rd 22 vs Western Bulldogs
Jack Viney you have been so hard and gallant for a long period but we simply need you to start lowering your eyes if we are going be able to implement a slicker game style.

Training Ground?
Caulfield is progressing well. There’s positive movement in the background. Solidifying the executive will progress it. In the mean time, AAMI is fine. Less time at Casey, more at AAMI. It certainly isn’t an issue for the Storm who are the NRLs gold standard for preparation, culture and performance.

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
Entirely irreplaceable was Gus. A clear most valuable person and player. I’m sure Goody is a few red wines in tonight thinking of all the ‘What If?’ moments since 2021. None would be more prevalent than Gus’ early retirement.

Simon Goodwin Sacked
D day updates: Goodwin is furious and feels the rug was pulled from underneath him from recent promises. Petracca the first player alongside Culley to arrive at The G for Goodys press conference. Paul Guerra leaving his day job at short notice to provide his presence at the G for the presser.
