  1. I think he has mellowed since the price of wine casks stabilised:
  2. I think they cut the bit where he said his golf game was extraordinary.
  3. Wasn't that Princes Park?
  4. Probably gone as a result of us holding 6 and 11 and being concerned about using them, if we haven't traded up. I would imagine Melk now will be delisted and rookied, giving us another draft selection. PS: Sorry, forgot to wish Kye well in the future.
  5. The bloke you would like to replace him from the Crows if he leaves is Thilthorpe, but unfortunately he is a SA player. This could all be about driving up his value and then extending with us on renegotiated terms. Would be a great boost for us if Jefferson had a massive pre season and becomes another best 23 key forward for us.
  6. North now have a lot of list spots to fill and about 5-6 picks under 18, with 2 and 3 included. As a strategy I agree, instead of losing most of them for one player, they could set themselves up long term by using them. If they get Reid, are they going to fill 6 or more list spots with players drafted beyond say pick 23. It makes no sense, It makes more sense to use a high pick and split the other, getting say 6 and 11 from us and giving them even more high end talent. We are in a slightly different situation, with a good list, that only needs cherry picked talent, here and there. Whether we are chasing 1 or 3, or keep 6 & 11, is up to our list managers. If we want Duursma, 3 is fine if North get 1, but if they don’t, he is not guaranteed at 3. So I would think if 3 is the target, it only happens in a 3 way deal with North and WC. Not knowing the real potential of the draftees, my opinion is an uninformed one, but from the outside, purely based on depth of talent, I would prefer keeping 6 & 11 and trying to maybe upgrade 11 a little, unless of course, JT thinks Duursma or someone else will be a champion,
  7. Has there been a better athlete than Haystacks Calhoun?
  8. Has there ever been a better looking man than Skull Murphy?
  9. Can’t see any explanation for it either.
  10. Yes the American version.
  11. Ah yes “around the world” , “walking the dog” and “the sleeper.”
  12. You are too kind.
  13. You can’t improve on perfection. it was the Michelangelo of full stops.
  14. What, Gus's uncle has joined the Dees?
  15. He has already entered.
  16. But the intel seems to suggest we want to trade up. From the little I know of the draftees, I would be happy with Curtin if we kept 6.
  17. That's what I was saying, in answer to a post saying we needed mids.
  18. Interestingly, someone posted that we haven't spoken to Reid. I can think of 3 reasons why. First, if we got pick 1 we would take him regardless. Second, we don't think we will get pick 1. Third, we actually prefer someone else and that may allow us to have another pretty good pick as well.
  19. I see Tomo, BBB, Tom Mac and Melk as the obvious delists next year at this stage. So I don't think Tomo will be around in 25. If Laurie fails to have an impact in 24 he will be another.
  20. Isn't that one of the favourite tracks in your s & m dungeon at the manor?
  21. Ollie Murphy is being tipped by Twomey to go around 20. If we trade up and get a pick back, it should get him if we want him. Also Turner x 2 and Adams are our depth at the moment for key backs, and if we take one this draft and again next year, or a FA, or trade one in, that should cover us.
  22. Obviously Devo can still whip it together.
  23. Tough times ahead and wish you all the best. Speaking of Mick Jagger, anyone who says Paul MacCartney can still sing is only looking not listening. His Adelaide shows are on you tube and he has lost his great voice, which is natural in your 80’s. Think he should have called it a day. He doesn’t need the money and better to remember stars at their best.
  24. Next week hopefully in the Cox Plate.
  25. Just came home from the new Training ground. There were a lot of people there, including Eddie.
