  1. At night I find myself dreaming of Waylen Manson. What is happening to me?
  2. Try talking to some of the other characters on Demonland.
  3. Sorry got my dates wrong its December 13 and that makes it 15 days to go. Oh well more time to study those names.
  4. 10 days to go, that's 240 hours for those interested. Actually 238 hours to be exact.
  5. That also makes sense. Fits in with mine nicely.
  6. Carlton receptionist, "It's Visy calling Mr. Judd they need you to come in and get your annual pay check. They haven't seen you since you got your check last year."
  7. How about this one. Kevin, how would you feel if Patton walks out on you in two years for a return to Melbourne and you find out he signed a year earlier.
  8. I can see the rookie draft now, MFC selects Manson, Hall, Couch and a player so left of centre, that he has gone around 360 degrees to actually end up on the right. He turns into our next Woewy.
  9. And Demetriou was the second shooter.
  10. For all you conspiracy theorists who enjoy these, here is one to consider. Could the AFL have masterminded the whole Scully scenario from the very time he was first chosen by Melbourne at the draft. Demetriou was clearly sick of defending tanking and it really hit the headlines as a result of some of our performances. He orchestrates GWS taking him away from us and we get compo picks that while ok are not the real worth of what was lost, a number 1 draft pick player two years into his development. The headlines early on when Scully announces he is off are massive publicity for the new club and he hurts Melbourne for blatant tanking. He then praises an illegal act by the GWS in trying to hide the father's contract with GWS at a heavily inflated price and duration, even though the league investigator has called the deal a total sham. It all has a ring of truth to it now, doesn't it?
  11. Finally a footy journo says it like it is. Well done Caro. She is a main reason I like Footy classified as well.
  12. Exactly what I was thinking. The ND has very little excitement as most names are known whereas the Rookie Draft is the opposite. 11 days to go and I am pumped.
  13. Well is AA telling porkies as well, as it was published that Ken Wood discovered the payment and allocated it to the salary cap. If Wood hadn't discovered it they would have got away with it. Why did their CEO get the boot?
  14. Gawn looks big and not scared. In fact he is scary looking. There is no comparison with training in previous years. It just looked so much more professional and intense. Players were working very hard and we would have to be fitter as a result. One thing I can say is that we are going to be a big list this year. Our height average must be way above previous years.
  15. 12 days to the rookie draft and hopefully a bit more excitement.
  16. Went to training this morning, dropped into a cafe for lunch, asked for a banana smoothie and horror, no smoothies today. Had mineral water, it's not nearly as good.
  17. The players I didn't see were Bail, Cook, Davey, McKenzie, Spencer & Sylvia. They may have inside doing weights. swimming etc. I must say I have never seen training as intense or as organized. There were coaches everywhere and it seemed like they had a couple of drills each and ran groups through their drills. a lot of the work and they went about 100 minutes, was quick handball either in a keepings off drill or running the length of the ground, by handball and only having the last kick for goal if they got inside 50. A turnover or dropped ball meant a stop and change of teams with the ball. later they did running work and I was interested to see Craig urging Fitzpatrick on and not let Gawn get in front of him. Craig was very vocal and Fitzy gave his all , won and then chucked his guts up. You can't say they aren't trying hard. I was very impressed with the session. Bate looks fitter than I have ever seen him and maybe he can turn around his career this year under a new coach. He could be a big body for the middle. Don't ever let me run into Tapscott without full medical cover. He is a very strong unit. LJ was just running laps but was being matched and pushed by a trainer. He looks a bit more solid this year but seemed to be finding the laps hard. I think they are determined to get him fitter.
  18. If he is still training with us he is a chance.
  19. There is still the rookie draft. If he showed form early in the season with his new club, he could be uplifted quickly.
