I thought we showed improvement today. With the side we had it would have been no shock to lose by 10 goals or more. The Saints ran the Pies to a goal last week with some poor umpiring that cost them. We are improving and will be much better with new players , more experience and better fitness next year, I hope.

I think Dunn has been ok this year as well. He is versatile and can play in several positions. He was on Milne for a while and didn't concede a goal. I know many on here don't like him but he is not our worst.

This should be our main priority at the moment. Then sign Rivers.

More than a quarter of the list is out. Try 16 players. For fun, I just wrote a team of outs and it looked pretty good.

Got it this week. 8 changes for GWS and several second tier players. Sheedy says, "anyone who challenges these selections is a disgrace". Anyone out will miss 2 weeks, as both games are winnable. Love the experimentation Sheeds.

Your best post.

Ah yes. Like Ward, Patton and Greene soreness. Will guarantee minimum 4 more GWS changes next week and several first gamers.

Think I would have preferred Chip out next week.

That would demon strate your fiscal resourcefulness.

The Viney pick - another plan to force him to the 2nd round

I have a spare room in my place for you, after your house is gone. -
And in 2013, with a 20% different list of players, another glorious chapter in the history of the MFC will begin.

It does indicate that GWS want a certain player and I think takes away the possibility of them possibly losing whoever it is, for a JV bluff, that will not even benefit them. I also get the feeling GC don't necessarily want the same player and might be happy with 2nd pick, which would get their man or their under 17 boy.

I think Sheeds has just showed his hand about how much he wants that first pick. GWS are resting Ward and Greene, their two best players this year, because of slight groin soreness or the onset of mild op symptoms. Patton also out for possible surgery. I won't use the T word because as we all know it is list management. The real point of my post is that I don't think he will risk losing the first pick on JV and more importantly either will Gubby or SOS. I don't think GC would do it to us either as we have cleared Warnock to them and there may be some more this year from our Queensland contingent. The certainty of all this is of course to do a deal for an U17 player which will give us JV at 2nd round. All based on us not moving up the ladder of course.

Happy to oblige but I don't know how to.

Well it would to Lucas. Hung , drawn and quartered for not being a senior footballer.

Congrats on a great AFL career with the Dees Brad. You retire on your terms, still playing seniors, in the top 10 games for the club, a Captain and a loyal clubman. You have a lot to be proud of. Now get to work on those sons for us, we need good footballers.

The Viney pick - another plan to force him to the 2nd round
Redleg replied to Cheesecake's topic in Melbourne Demons
There is really very little benefit for a club with first or second pick to risk that pick for a player below that level. It would really have to be vindictiveness. Sheedy might be, but Gubby Allen and Silvagni have no reason to be and neither does GC. It might be different if Daniher was our father/son selection. -
I presume you mean Barry and not Lucas.
