  1. I have also been following him and remain underwhelmed.
  2. Home today. I started my fitness/diet today and I am going to strip fitter next season, just like I hope our boys do. Just went for a long walk and now for a healthy lunch. Bought a packet of Blackmores Chocolate/Blackcurrent diet shakes and tried one this morning. Nearly spat it out, possibly the worst drink I have ever had. Don't buy it if you are thinking of it, or see it in the chemists. Should have stuck to banana flavour.
  3. No they don't.
  4. For what it is worth he was injured yesterday and has carried it the last two games. I thought he was pretty good up until he got injured a few weeks ago. Yes he is no Jonathan Brown, but we have one in Mitch and how many of them are there?
  5. Agree. It is what will give us hope and keep going.
  6. You were right. Hope we don't stuff up trading/drafting.
  7. Agree. However, even Roos told McVeigh in a NAB Cup game to go forward but not to kick a goal. It was overheard by an official. No inquiry there.
  8. Because they need to have a scenario where everyone is trying their best to win.
  9. Pity it is not $26 million.
  10. That's been done only on revenue and not assets. Some ahead are actually in the red.
  11. You can wash down your banana fritter with that.
  12. Don't forget my opening line " If tanking is not doing your best ". We have never really had it defined. The AFL inquiry into tanking, is really whether we have brought the game into disrepute.
  13. They do, if they are any good.
  14. Yep, we are in drafting/trading mode in a few hours.
  15. If tanking is not doing your best, then Matthews has just sanctioned it. In today's Sun he tells the Dockers to manipulate the result to ensure their best final position. He says that is what he would do if he was Coach. Yes that's right gamblers and lovers of the sporting contest, he is telling a club not to do its best, to manipulate a result.
  16. You will recall we stood by him during this period. Is he currently playing, I believe not. I loved the little guy, but he lacked the necessary dedication to make it in Melbourne.
  17. Depends on who they picked instead.
  18. Dew was happy to stay with his club and train hard. Prepared to give his all for the cause. Aussie just wanted to go home and catch turtles with his mates.
  19. Agree. He is apparently so out of condition, it would take 3 preseasons to get him half fit.
  20. I wish Brent all the best if he leaves and thanks for his efforts. What I am disappointed in, is that we allegedly have a player that 6 clubs are interested in and it doesn't appear that we will be able to trade him and get a good return. Instead we will be given a compo pick and I can predict now, it will be a poor one, far less than one we might have got for trading him or the value of a player we might have got.
  21. Good post, you have written off a kid's career because he had an injury this year. So glad you are not our recruiter. This kid will be a good player for us. I will remind you of your post in a couple of years.
  22. Just watched an interview on Dee TV with Jordie McKenzie hosted by his sister Ellie. While Jordie isn't the best looking rooster in the barn, Ellie is quite cute with a very good personality. You would not pick her as Jordie's sister. Before I am attacked, Jordie is one of my favourite Dees and we always have a chat when I get to training.
  23. There is a fair bit of vitriol and angst on another thread that has now been locked. I was going to suggest they have a banana split, chill out and enjoy life, like we do on this thread.
