  1. IMO if its dry BBB and Verrall come in for JVR and Disco. I would ruck Verrall and Petty or even Tom Mac a bit, depending on match ups. Woey to get a full game in front of the family and friends. I would manage Max and freshen him and save him the flight as well. If Salem is fit he is in.
  2. There is nothing wrong with the timelines, as long as people understand they are only an approximate guide.
  3. You obviously don't have false teeth.
  4. That's strange, because I had the "Don't Disturb" sign up.
  5. Now in multiple artificial flavours.
  6. Behind the grandstand is where the apartments are going. A new grandstand is being built in front of the new longer straight on the Northern side. Not getting into an argument about horse racing, but I can assure you they are among the best cared for animals on earth. A 550 kg horse, hit with a three by one inch piece of flexible soft leather, a few restricted times, on its flank, does not hurt the horse. Most of the time the jockey is waving the whip and not actually using it. If it did hurt the horse, you would see them react, like shying, bucking etc.
  7. Talking of scones has made me think about biscuits, strange isn't it? My favourite biscuit is the Anzac. Just love them. I am sure we will soon here from the tim tam lovers. Wonder if Uncle Bitters is an iced vo vo fan.

Verrall is ok in the ruck, better than Fullarton.
  9. No, its the western side of the racecourse for the apartments. No apartments inside the track, as it would obscure the racing.
  10. That's probably fair enough.
  11. According to the Training report, Disco will join JVR as an out, with a calf injury. Sounding like Verall might get the call up.

  13. Think I prefer the scones with cream and jam and a nice hot cup of tea to wash it all down.
  14. It probably is a game where Max could be saved the flight and have time to freshen. That is not a cocky statement, but rather borne out of a need to manage Max. I am a JVR fan, but with him out and if Max was rested, Verall and BBB would go ok as replacements. JVR is not in fantastic form atm.
  15. Do they do a Devonshire Tea there?
  16. Would you want to?
  17. No let off completely.
  18. One of the best was Hewett also Carlton of course, being shown striking to the head with the right arm but charged with doing it with the left arm. Even though they had the power to amend the charge, they let him off on that technicality. It is nothing less than a joke. I just cannot have any respect for that body. Imagine in a Court of law that you get off, because you stab someone with the knife in the other hand.
  19. As some of us on here felt he was with us. i still believe if he knew Gus would retire he would have stayed: He left for better opportunities and has got them with the current best team in the AFL. We have a hole after Clarry, Tracc, JV and Sparrow.
  20. Both fines. Newman incident an elbow to ANB’s jaw same as Kozzie on Soligo, also after leaving the ground, deemed low impact and not raised to medium, because of propensity to cause injury, like Kozzie. No explanation of why treatment different. Continues Carlton’s magical run at MRO and Tribunal.
  21. I agree with your general statement though.
  22. He left and was trying to go the year before as well. They tried to keep him.
  23. Just interested in the discussion of who was the better team. Here are a few points for analysis and discussion. Blues off to a flyer first 6 goals in first quarter. From that point, for last 3 quarters, we outscored them by 35 points. 61-41 inside F50 our way. More scoring shots our way. As you admit a bizarre decision takes a goal off us that would make us winners by 5 points. We had one less day to recover from previous game. On what basis do you say they were the better team. I am just interested in your reasoning, not arguing against it, just providing a few statistics for discussion.
  24. Agree with you, but I have absolutely no doubt that different players are umpired differently. Take Oliver and Cripps as examples. Clarry is pinged for holding the ball or throwing in an instant, while Cripps is given an eternity to dispose and throws the ball without penalty regularly. I say that from years of watching both play.
