Disagree, the arrival of Jesse would be bigger than the departure of Brayshaw. You sell it be saying Jesse wanted to come home, as did Brayshaw and who also wanted to play with his brother, something that would have come up every year, like the Jesse saga. Keeping 4 or 5 would also soothe the members as there are probably better players than Brayshaw available at that pick. We would need to trade the pick to Port for 9 and 10 and hope GC would take say 9 and a future pick as well, leaving us say 10 or use the pick and offer GC our first next year and something else as well.

Well for a start Angus has said we need to get him over to the Dees. We could then get Hamish, who has not played a game in his first year, to leave the Eagles and we could rookie him, saving Dad a flight every second week to see his sons play. Couldn't see the Eagles standing in his way. ATM he appears to be a WAFL player.

I won't be.

No.

Must say it made the reporter look stupid and pushy.
-
It is sad and more so, because we have totally supported and paid him during his issues and injuries. But is is a job for him and whether it is influenced by money or family etc, it is his prerogative to decide in which state he works and lives. That is the nature of footy today and we just need to get the best deal we can. As I said in an earlier post, I regard him as an ex player now, as his leaving seems a formality provided a deal is done. He will move on and I already have.

Felt a bit sorry for him on news yesterday at the airport. Was asked if he had decided to leave us and he said no. Was then asked the same question 5 different ways answering no every time. Reporter wouldn't give up.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY

If May selects us and we trade JH, the deal will be done. Interestingly GC didn't rule out a trade like they did with Martin. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ

Sounds like the trade deal is agreed. Good to get one done early and concentrate on bigger ones. -
7 gone off main list and a rookie, with 4 possibles we know of, Kent, Tyson, AVB and JH. That is 11 off the main list if they all go. If May and KK come in we need 9 more players. We will not draft 9, so that tells me we have our eyes on a couple more players at least.

Is it as sound as the article in the paper that says exactly what you have said.

Off the table as signing again with Pies.

My source was a family friend. Don't know feeling on Lyon.

Was just thinking, if we could get 4/5 from Freo for Jesse and could get GC to accept our first pick in 2019 plus a player or another pick thrown in, we could have 2 early picks to use in this draft, GC has a swag of early picks in this draft I think it is 7 in top 40 and therefore may be happy to spread it a bit and take another first rounder next year to avoid a glut of 18 year olds this year being added to the list. If we could swing that sort of deal and if say GC took the King twins, who would solve FF and FB soon, as replacements for Lynch and May, options would open. The Kings are 202 cms and strong so could possibly play next year. They have said they are happier to go interstate if picked together. If that happened, we would have a Jesse replacement in Lukosius and could take Rozee his mate, or Rankine also from SA. It is just another scenario that could develop. If GC took the SA boys we would have the Kings and would only need to draft or trade for mids, this year and next. We could even keep 5 and trade 4 to Port for 9 and 10 or do a deal with the Crows for a player and their first pick. We could have 3 picks in the top 10 or 2 in the top 12 and a player. The options really open up. Just a thought.

Interesting my source tells me the opposite. Ed Langdon likes it in Perth and Tom would probably consider joining his brother at Freo. Your comment " aside from watching Tom's bloody good GF game I know bugger all about them" is probably very accurate.
-
Is that why after agreeing to take Mitch McGovern, they took Shiel to Noosa in a private jet. Now add Kelly to the mix. Obviously no salary cap for Carlton. Check your rumour source.

A draft pick could be Toumpas, Cook or whoever, in other words no guarantee as to how a player picked will go in the big league. Jesse Hogan is a developed beast with 70 games behind him and who leads the stats in nearly every category of today's forwards. 4/5 or 5/6 pie in the sky, hardly, it is my bare minimum. The boy is contracted and Freo are desperate for a big name and key forward and he is both. Freo offered 2 first round picks for Cam McCarthy, a great footballer there. I think JH is worth more.
-
Lachie Weller Pick 2 last year. Jesse Hogan not worth picks 4 & 5 or 5 & 6 . Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually believe he is worth more as a proven developed player and a Freo player thrown in to the deal with a pick from us would be well within the realms of reasonableness.

Negative Nellie. What are you talking about we are picking up 20 players and losing no one. We are on the verge of 5 flags in a row.

130 pages and I sum it up in one sentence. Thanks, you are obviously a fan of the succinct statement and appreciate brevity.

Uranus.

They don’t have to not do that to prove they are idiots, they have already shown they are.
-
It’s crystal clear now, Jesse will leave unless he doesn’t and we will get May unless we don’t.
-
The player is always the advocate. When was the last time, a player was forced by his club, to go to a club he didn't want to?
-
Of course he does. Mind you O'Rourke was a bust for them.
