Gary Pert Quits as MFC CEO
Agree Katrina. There is a tendency to act like vultures on a carcass when someone leaves a club. It is pretty poor. He also was the boss when we won a flag and we put together a consistent finals team. Who was the last Ceo to do that, Jum Cardwell 60 years ago? We should thank him for his contribution and move on to our next stage. What I would like to see is a photo on November 21 of our draftees and Sharp, together with Tracc and Clarry, with the byline, Dees stars commit to their best footy, their long term future at the Dees, developing the newbies and getting us our next flag. That will enthuse us and shut up a few others.

Nathan Jones joins MFC as an Assistant Coach
300 games played under several mid field coaches and he is a novice? Every assistant coach starts somewhere and there is no rule they can’t successfully coach in their first stint.

Training Ground?
You think we will win the flag next year? Given a good fixture, good injury run and player development we could.

Time to go Goody?
Injuries, fixture and (skill) development are the keys and only the last to a degree, is the responsibility of the Coach.

Draft night - How it may work out?
I am visiting Palm Cove on sunday for the day and recall the last time i was there was on day two of the Jacko draft. While my wife was shopping, I was outside counting down to our pick at 30 as I recall. I liked Rivers, as I had posted on DL, solely because of his video highlights and the comments of guys who knew about him. As we got to his pick and he was still there, I hoped JT would take him. When I heard his name announced, I yelled out and my wife ran out of a shop and asked if I was ok and I told her we got Rivers and she just stared at me. I am hoping this is an omen, even though this time I am not there on draft day, that we get great players in the draft this year. Sorry if the story was boring.

Farewell Adam Tomlinson
Another option could be the Dogs, with Keath retiring today.

Doubt it, Bailey is the face of Cotton On.

Don’t think so. He is currently getting probably 4% of Clarrry’s salary and that wouldn’t have increased and could have decreased.

Forgot to mention Goody won Coach of the Year and Viney won the AFLPA bravest player award.

He is actually a poster on DL and goes by the moniker Whispering Jack.

I had a dream last night. We win the flag next year, with Tracc winning his second Norm Smith, after Clarry won the Brownlow, with Max breaking records with another AA and our pick 5 winning the Rising Star, after JVR wins his first Coleman. How quickly would all this media garbage last if my dream came true?

Delistings 2024
I think at 22 and 195 cms he could be worth a chance. We are a little light down back now and he could improve in a new club.
