I don’t see any Demon doing anything to Maynard. We won’t want suspensions and nothing less than a suspension worthy act is worth doing anyway. Pushing and shoving is meaningless and just wastes energy and is distracting from the game. The best thing we can do is win by a landslide and then a marking attempt which accidentally knocks Maynard out is the best quinella.

So if true, the AFL decided before the Tribunal hearing that he would get off. So much for integrity. Again, if true, reaffirms why this is not a sport but a business.

You can understand why so many can’t stand the AFL Administration. I believe that without Maynard they lose the PF to GWS ( 1 point win ) and if they did get to the GF, they lose that couple points win. The AFL imo was never going to rub him out, just like the absurd technical garbage overturn of Cripps suspension to allow him to win the Brownlow, while Ah Chee missed the finals.

Or ever again, if you want to resort to silliness, instead of a sensible discussion about one game for Casey missed being “ crucial “ to his football development as you posted. You win I’m out.

With our ever changing forward line, slightly changed backline, lack of real backup for Max and against the Dockers, I am worried about this game.
-
So he has moved but is out injured. Ok. I disagree that missing playing today, not knowing any game plan, hardly knowing his team mates and with a below AFL level fitness, was “crucial “ to his development.

Good post Saty. I didn’t think AMW had any chance of playing at AFL level, but have changed my opinion this season, after his much improved play.
-
Settle down. Playing this week will have absolutely no bearing on his future with us. May have had things to sort out before he moves his life across the country.
-
Verrall is 19 isn’t he? I have said he will be an LJ type not a Max type.
-
Or it’s a way of getting clubs to take a chance on them, with only a short term commitment, if they fail to convince the club to retain them for a longer term.
-
A win puts us 3rd and a loss, heaven forbid, puts us in the ruck,

Yes.

No, JT said he is a long term project and I am certain you will see him get at least next year to develop. He is a year behind Jeffo in the system, but he may not be that far behind him physically, as he looks a big lump of a kid. Will just need AFL conditioning and playing in our game plan. I like the selection on type.

I find it hard to accept that Goody and the FD know more about the players on the list than I do.

It would be miraculous if he played this year, as he most likely does not have AFL level fitness, or any knowledge of our game plan.

At Casey, Schache can play key back. Would think Fullarton could too.
-
I would imagine they have told Kozzie to not go for those near impossible marks, but he is just an instinct player, see ball get ball and they probably don’t want to curb that.

Great article by Langdon, who praises Goody and the Club Culture, for putting players’ welfare first, as evidenced by him being allowed to miss the Eagles game to attend his sister’s wedding in London. He said the club was a great place to be and play football with as they really cared about their players. That is a fantastic advertisement for any player thinking of moving clubs.

Alice Springs would be good for a debut as sub for AMW.

Actually he is the next Jeffo.

30000 posts is just a good start.

I am not a Hunter fan, but he was ok today. McAdam was poor again.

Luke Darcy said he would be in that conversation and with Dean Cox, the best two ruckmen of the recent generation.

You are correct, there is nearly no too far on this thread.
