Extra special effort in these tough times.
-
Ankle might need another week.
-
I'm not.
-
Not every draftee can play this week. He is going well and will become a regular IMO, but there is no hurry. Bit harder though if Casey isn't playing.
-
Great idea. Deserves it. Amazing effort.
-
On paper and over there, the Eagles will kill us. Lucky we don’t play on paper.
-
Those two won't let us down.

See how easy it is.

AFLW: H&A Cancelled ... Straight to Finals
Redleg replied to Demonland's topic in AFLW Melbourne Demons
This was posted in October 19 by the AFL re the AFLW competition. Ignore the game dates which obviously now change. The top three sides in each conference will qualify for finals, with the teams who finished first in each pool given a bye in the first week of finals. FINALS STRUCTURE Week one, April 4-5 Semi-final one: A2 v B3 Semi-final two: B2 v A3 Byes: A1, B1 Week two, April 11-12 Preliminary final one: A1 v winner of B2/A3 Preliminary final two: B1 v winner of A2/B3 Grand Final, April 18 Winners of preliminary finals Well looks like top 4 teams in each group now, so another change. -
Stand up football - an ill-conceived idea?
Redleg replied to Melb-A-Toast's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agree that concussions will bring changes to the game, just not sure exactly what form they would take, other than completely outlawing any form of bump/tackle/sling, where the head is hurt. I suppose they are trying to achieve that already. -
Postponement or suspension of games now looks a certainty imo. Banning attendance by fans also looks a certainty. The normal is not possible in the current situation. Even Forrest Gump is sick and is being affected.

Marking is sometimes about confidence, as well as a number of other factors of course, but it can only take a couple of good grabs, if it is a confidence issue, to turn it around. We have seen the key forwards who need that early goal to then have a good day, with our game’s record holder the perfect example.

Mrs Redleg posed the same scenario to me a few days ago.

Is everything stuffed. Just went on Coles Online and got cut off every time I completed the order. Can I blame the club for this, or the AFL?
-
That is clearly his achilles heel. He is a nice kick and battled manfully as a chop out ruckman. However, he does drop far too many marking chances and I agree, that unless he fixes that he has little chance of being a long term key forward. Key forwards take marks.
-
That is funny. First laugh from me all day, in this serious situation we are all in. Well done.
-
Maybe it’s to punish us for giving up Darwin game.
-
I think that was the point of his post, which you obviously missed.
-
But that is the problem, he hardly ever is.

While games could be played at empty stadiums, players testing positive to the virus could derail the entire AFL season.
-
Those Demonlanders who want a West Coast at nearly full strength look like getting their wish. Personally I hope it is not a very hot day over there.
-
We need Cameron or Greene from the Giants for that.

Jay played 12 games for the Dees kicking 9 goals 3 points last year and averaging 4.3 marks per game. I can assure you he played more than one game in the forward line. He is better than Spargo and ANB and even Kossie at this point in time. Kossie however offers things that Spargo and ANB don't have and will play the first game or soon after.
-
Do you have Spargo and ANB in your 22? If you do, he is well ahead of them IMO.
